Too busy for my taste. Maybe get rid of the tree, bird, and underline to simplify and then add a descriptive slogan below, like 'lakeside grille', 'burgers and ice cream', ect.
Green on #36 would need to be darker and then probably the wording either lighter and/or highlighted with white, but I think we are leaning white background like #37 as of now.
#48 is definitely the favorite. Might end up #50 depending on adjoining business sign. Like the detail of both of those more than the new 55 & 56. Only problem we have right now is the font on the Jim. Kinda looks like Tim. Maybe eliminate part of the swirl of the "m" or adjust font slightly, ie make the swirl from the m similar to the swirl from the y in dandy where it stops before it gets to the J.
I'm sorry, didn't even notice that in #56 the boy is holding the burger with other hand--like a lot better! If you can switch 48 and 50 to the holding the burger version and also do the font change above that would be great.
Yes, I like! Couple minor things....we like eliminating the 'purse' in #65 if you would do the same to the green background 64 &81. Even with the tail of the 'm' shortened, I'm still not in love with the "J". Maybe it's the font? It would'nt hurt to maybe play with altering the font slightly to clarify the Jim vs Tim. Finally, see general comments to all designers regarding slogan if you haven't already.
I like the fonts better on Jim especially and also Dandy's in the new 110 & 111. I think they are my favorites but I like/can read better the slogan on 93...maybe slogan a little larger, different font/color/block background/or remove block background?
Still like 92 & 93 as well, I'm really struggling with this decision--I feel like I could throw the top 10 in bucket and draw one and I'd be happy. Thanks for your efforts!
I will work on it' My ## 92,93,110,111 are just variations of the same design, so, you don't have to "choose". On the other hand - when other designers change their style following the leader of the contest and use the style, details and ideas of the design ranked #1- it's very wrong...
I really like #131 and it might be the winner but I still 'feel' the JIM is disconnected--it would be perfect if the name was just 'Dandy's'. I have been trying to figure out a way to make it feel more part of the design and wondering if the outline went around the whole thing? Another reason I think that might help is we just met with our sign company today and we are trying to reuse/reverse our existing white bubble faces and he says we will need to have a dark background so I was thinking if the green outline encompassed the whole design, everything around the outside of the outline could actually be the green?
In general though, we think your logo is the most professional looking and highlights the food the best for drawing in potential restaurant traffic. I probably won't make a decision for another day or two. Don't pay attention to rankings for now, I'm giving everybody the opportunity to make final entries so will adjust #1 as necessary for everyone. The current #1 is supposed to be submitting something he has been working on in a couple hours then I will switch your #131 to #1.
