Jessie's Jewel BoxLogo Design Contest

FYI we recently narrowed the contest brief as follows: Modern design using a combination of antique, and natural/organic themes. Colors include: Fuchsia, Purple, Red, Amber tones, mixed with light/soft contrasts, however we are open to all types of color combinations.

MMeans (#5) we liked your idea of incorporating the jewel box in your design, however at smaller sizes the box is reduced to a blotch. Perhaps you can make it bigger and less dark? Or, maybe make it an outline instead of solid in color? If not, then removing it might be better.

#6 towhead we liked the natural/organic feel of your entry, however we'd like to see a variant with more antique colors and font.

Eyefibre, we liked entries #50 and #49 , but they have to be wider. At the present dimension the company name is too hard to read at small sizes. It looks like the letters are too crowded against the border of the framing box. Finally we liked that color of green in #50 , but it needs to have a high contrast border around it so that it doesn't bleed into the white surroundings. We like the green, but prefer a high contrast border (black? red?) to prevent this.

towhead, we like the overall design you've come up with, but it misses on a) the color combo (the purple and green in #33 don't quite click together), and b) the font on the word "Jessie's" (#33) doesn't match the vine-like surroundings. Finally the words "Jewel Box" have been reduced in size and are now harder to read. We like the toothpaste font in #6 better than the script font in #33.

brad2, we liked your rhine-stone idea, but the spot light/shadows you have on that full-on red background is not usable on our website. We need a white background, but we do like the velvet-colored red that you've selected. Maybe you can find a way to hold on to the rhinestones and red color, but contain the design to make it usable on a website that does not use spot-lighting or have a background color of velvet red.
