What We Do
I photograph families of all ages in their homes or the places they love, wherever they are comfortable and can be themselves, in a modern, informal style.
Industry
Service Industries
Color Preferences
Yellow and Grey. I'm open to other ideas, but that is what I have in mind. Want it to be mostly neutral as it will appear most on my photography blogsite and don't want it to interfere or compete with my images.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Here is my current blog: jennifermendoza.com Will be upgrading this to blog/site with the new logo/mark. Will use the pictoral mark as a watermark on photos. Would like to subtly incorporate it into a tiled pattern for my new site's background. Should work as a single color.

I like the marks that are representative of what I do, like the camera (#1) and the child (#3). I prefer the san serif fonts.

The idea of #3 is interesting, but not quite there...the butterfly was not immediately recognizable and maybe a little too cute/feminine. If going in that direction, I'd like to convey that I work with all ages, not just young kids.

I like the camera idea in #1 and working the JM in. It feels a bit formal (not sure if that's the right word) or dressy. Would look for something even more simple.

Love the origami feel of #4, #5, and #6. Probably a little too abstract for my needs, although I could see it as a great tile for the background on the site.

Color: #9 is too green. Don't like any of the oranges. Like the yellow in #23, but would want to verify what it would look like in print.

#25, #28, #29, #30 and #31...really like where those are going. Would like to see the flash gone from the camera image. I want yellow rather than orange. Like the focus point idea (the four corners), as also used in #3 and #34.Don't like too much of the 3D effects (shadow, reflection, embossing). Interested in the off-centered quality of #31, although that's not necessarily what I'll end up with.

#34...I like the idea. Can't decide if it is getting too complicated/busy and too feminine and sweet. I like the image a lot.

#35...love the idea and simplicity of it, but not sure if the silhouettes are too simple. Do not like the italicized type at all.

#36...doubt that most will translate that as a piece of photography equipment.

Would like to see 3 variations - one where the pictoral mark is to the side of the name, one where it is above, and one where it is centered or incorporated into the name.

#34 - Could I see a less feminine version?

#44 - I like the added details, but still feel the figures are too boxy and stiff

The lens images are interesting but don't love them. Don't like the bird in #38. Not sure what that has to do with me except that birds seem to be popular motifs in general.

#41 - Like the simplicity. Don't like the shadow.

#4 - Would still like to see something along these lines, but taking into consideration all my various comments above.

Unfortunately, it looks like my last round of comments were not saved...

#67, #34 and #39 - still liking these ideas a lot. I would like to see a more vertical or square version. And would want to see a black and white translation and a reverse translation. I am also interested in seeing something that incorporates a male figure?

In general, I'm interested in conveying the idea that I work with families at all stages and ages...maternity, babies, kids, adults, etc. Would like to see your ideas on how to communicate that as simply as possible.

More interested in pictoral marks than those that are letters. Many of those are appealing, but that is what most photographers already have (myself included) and I am interested in something more specific to my business, and especially something that conveys my focus on families.

Want to see #25 and #28 again in yellow and grey, and without the flash. And would want to see a black and white translation and a reverse translation. Also want to see versions with and without the solid colored "button" behind the image.

#78 - want to see a horizontal version with the picture to the side, and a reverse translation.
