Note to All Designers:

We would like to see some logos that utilize more of the horizontal space rather than growing in height. Do not be afraid to weight things on the left or right. Also, we are looking for some grace and flow and favor this over more angular lines.

There are some good options in this bunch and we look forward to seeing more.

Another Note:

We will most likely end up going with a white background in most applications. Please keep this in mind as you continue revising and submitting your designs.

Also, red is not a hard and fast rule. Any warm color that is kind of close to red is also good. I feel like it's best as an accent, but if you can pull off something really bold with it, then go for it.

As I re-rank the entries I am going to start moving some of the first designs to the "not interested" box just because most of you have turned in revisions that I like better. I'm seeing a lot of great work so I want to clean it up in here so it is easier to keep track of.

Top 5 Designers,

I've just re-ranked based on a discussion with Melaina. I've asked some of you for minor changes also. These are the designs that Melaina and I feel most strongly about.

As we move toward the Judgement phase of the contest, though, we will rely more heavily on feedback from our facebook and twitter community. We want the opinions of a wider audience before making a final decision. We just wanted to let you all know more about how we will make the ultimate choice in the contest.
