Marsel, thank you for your patience. I like the bigger font because of lot of us are older - including one of the judges. Our last question, I hope, is that we want to put this logo on a glass tumbler. If not black, can we also get this in a clear background when we get to it in 2021? All of us think this logo is gorgeous.
These two have fallen down in ranking because it was felt we have an Easter egg shaped logo with Easter egg colors. Your other designs were much more sophisticated.
Hi Marsel, One more request from the fellow judges. We here in Chicago have some iconic architecture. It would be nice to include the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) on the left side of Austen & the John Hancock Bldg on her right side.
Marsel, there are 3 of us judging & one's favorite color is blue. Can we try an ombre on this in blue shades or blue-silver? Also can we work with you after the contest ends?
Much, much better!!! You just need to find a place for "art" to be represented in the logo. Might have to put the comedy-tragedy masks together so you can insert something for art. Maybe a palette with 2 dripping paintbrushes & it's the paint that forms the upper scroll work??? Also, if you want to play around with multi-color logo, we're ok with that too. The light yellow version doesn't have the same impact as this one does. The burgundy is the same color as our national website, so some difference could be welcomed. Good job Marsel.
I am in agreement that this logo is the best so far, but I would like to see performing arts featured as this is a major part of Chicago culture. And consider the Regency here as well, perhaps?
Marsel, if you need more thoughts, theater can be represented by tragedy-comedy masks which I thought could be at top & bottom. Music can be staff with notes in scrolling around the cityscape or in place of current scrollwork. Art can use a palette & paintbrush at the sides of your logo. Dance, the obvious theme would be ballet slippers but didn't have a thought where to place. Just thought I'd give you the obvious symbolism but you're the creative force so feel free to come up with your own take.
Hi Marsel, If you read the descriptive material I provided, you will see references to art, music & theater (dance was part of the opera back then). So yes, please be inclusive of all arts

can you explain me about the "arts" means from your last comment. Is it like painting or performing art?
