I get what you're saying fully. I just think that because you had the other design way before the blind period was over... asking you the make those bars green and yellow to be realistic with the music industry, isn't that bad of a request.
But if you don't feel comfortable doing it because of the contest rules, i understand.
It`s not that I don`t want to do that revision. It`s just that the revision will end upi, as far as I can imagine, looking like the 1st ranked design. And I don`t want to risk anything.
These type of contest are made so you can receive tens of different designs and choose one you like. I think you should take advantage of this system and let designers creativity to run free and offer you as many different designs as they can.
Well then don't bother. I wasn't trying to say to identically match the first one.
Green and yellow are what db meters look like, if that seems like something you don't want to do, then don't do it. However, it's not copying his style, because of colors.
Clearly I didn't get my point across well enough, but at this point I don't find it worth it.
If I change the font with my font currently ranked 4th, if I`ll color the bars from green to yellow and if I`ll make the bars random in height, the resulted design will look exactly like the design of CMYK currently ranked 1st.
As I already told you, I can`t do anything that will result in a design similar to an existing one.
I`m just curious, why would you like 2 similar designs from 2 different designers?
I still really like this design alot. However, I'm really not the biggest fan of the way the music note looks.
I like the concept alot, and want the note to stay in the O like you have it, but maybe with different coloring ideas with it? Also Green - Yellow bars in the O like I had mentioned under your other design?
Also, maybe try different fonts for JAMSPOT?
Sorry, I know I'm all over the place haha. Let me know if this makes sense.
I was wondering if you might be able to mess around with this one a little more. Conceptually I like it, but I am not really a fan of the font. Also, the bars on top would look cool with looking a little less uniform, and with the green and yellow coloring of a db reading in the recording interface.
I don't know if that makes sense to you, but it would be cool to have each individual bar (Like you have above jamspot already) to be at random, but similar levels, with the green color toward the bottom fading into the yellow. That's how a db meter looks in the recording software, and it would be cool to have this design show that.
Honestly, the sign up process was super quick and easy. I didn't even see this page, and if it was there, then it mustve been in small writing (in some type of contract form).
Either way, I haven't done that with anyone yet. You were the first person that I asked to do something like that, and I didn't give away the other person's design so I guess I'm safe lol.
Perhaps you skipped that rule. It happens quite frequently.
You may find that rule at the bottom of this page and it says:
"Please do not ask Designers to include elements from the designs of others. This includes unique font treatments, icons, shapes, and in some cases, layout of elements. Requesting similar colors is the only similar element a client may request."
Hi again, I just wanted to say thanks for the new designs. I still think this is my favorite of your designs. However, when the blind period is over, I want you to look at the ones that I've moved ahead of this design. I think an incorporation of the 2 ideas would be perfect
So far I'm liking this one the best out of all of them. I like the slight color additions you made to this one and #64. I'll comment more after I sit on it for a bit.
I like this one alot. Not sure what to tell you to change about it though, other than maybe a little color would make it pop a bit more?
Thanks for your work!

Just my 2 cents.

This is very frustrating for me because I want to try and help with suggestions but don't know how to help.
I'll check out fonts I guess, and let you know if anything pops out...

On the other hand, since there are millions and millions of fonts, ere are 2 links with free fonts:
www.urbanfonts.com
www.dafont.com
It would be much easier if you could indicate me something you like from there.

Nobody is accusing you of anything.
I was just informing you why I couldn`t do the revisions you`ve requested.
Best regards.

We have a rule here saying that, if a designer comes with a concept, he soley owns the rights of that concept.
A concept is fair game for everyone only when you come up with that idea and you post it to the brief.
Otherwise, the concept belongs to the designer who come up with it.
Thank you for your understanding.
