What We Do
We help merchants (restaurants, delis, salons, etc.) offload over-stocked goods and services. As opposed to groupon & livingsocial, we focus on “flash” deals that are posted on the same day as they expire.
We are open to including a cartoon figure. At the same time, we understand and appreciate the need for simplicity so not including a character is fine with us too.
Some sample logos of our competitors that we like include groupon.com, livingsocial.com and blockboard.com for its simplicity. If we decide to include a character, we also like dailyflock. Incorporating or highlighting the “flash” in jacksflash.com is probably a good idea so we can later work off that aspect of our business model.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
Our URL will be www.jacksflash.com. However, our logo and slogan can be written as "Jack's Flash".

We will be creating stickers to be placed on restaurant windows that tell those who walk by the store participates in our program.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

#6. Nice character! But, i think the audience here is too young and he may look a little evil. Maybe a more friendly character?

#3 is still the most interesting but it looks too generic. Perhaps we can add a character similar to this: http://www.clipartof.com/details/clipart/102907.html

The letters "Flash" in #3 can be the scroll where the daily specials are shown. Possible?

For #16, would it be possible to have the chef's put his right arm over the sign "Flash"? In this way, he would on the right side of the picture. Im thinking his right arm over the scroll's, to sort of take ownership.

#19 is nice but I think its audience is a little too young for us.

#9. I like the character but Jack should be a chef-type, as opposed to a businessmen. In our service, "Jack" is the merchant who uses our service to post deals. The character in this logo looks more like the client.

Im a little worried that #18 might be too hard to print; great for web design though. I do like the overral feeling it conveys.
