I reckon #10 is more of a computer network look than #9 or #8 - they look a bit like an island resort

Yes, I went back and read what you were looking for. That's why I went with something far more business like with #11. Thanks for the feedback. What do you think of the font, colors, etc.? Do you like the net graphic? If so, is there one that is more in the direction your after. I personally liked how the net mimics a crashing wave on 11. I figure islands tend to have waves in common.

I like the concept of the overarching net and the wave shape in #1, but at the moment it looks a bit mechanical/technical-drawing, non-living. Someone here also mentioned it could be taken as a fishing company logo- we don't want the idea of catching stuff, but rather of connecting knowledge etc. Difficult, but if you could come up with something softer and more natural looking without it looking like a resort, I'd be interested to see it (you may have figured out there are 2 of us providing comments on this logo from the same office!).
Also, light blue might look softer, and/or use of a less rigid font and lower case?

I like the use of colours in #23 and #24- could you try it with a capital N for Net? and the dot of the 'i' round instead of square (for a more natural feel)?

On 48 I made the N a little larger and fixed how the "t" was extending into the right side of the net. Do you know yet whether you like the net behind "Island" or blanked out? Would you like for the net to have more of the rounded curve like the shape I made to acomodate the "earth?"

On # 49 I made the dot on the "i" normal sized instead of exaggerated.

Just for the heck of it I tried squashing the wave a little. The upside would be printing it in a smaller area.

Here I went with a more casual font for the word Island, reminiscent of Treasure Island, and stretched the N just a little.
