This is an Online guitar lessons site. Various courses and skills will be added regularly and will not be limited to just island or blues music. The name of the company is meant to create a "laid back" easy going lifestyle feel to the company.

I'm open to this, but I'm sure green and blue would go well somewhere in the image with Island and "blues" being in the actual name of the company. Grays/silver seem good as well.

John Mayer's album cover for "Born and Raised" seems close . That particular album art is TOO busy for my logo, but the layout of the two words, the nautical feel, and potential for surrounding images looks great. Perhaps a palm tree, water, a pelican and/or an antique compass would be some of the things that could potentially surround the name instead of the items John mayer used. I like an Ampersand rather than the word "and" probably. Island and Blues would ideally branch off into other lifestyle products so the word "guitar" probably needs to be able to be separated from the words "Island and Blues" and perhaps a bit smaller...as if one day there might be a distinction from "Island & Blues guitar" and "Island & Blues beachwear"..or other iterations. I want the student to feel like he is jumping into the world of a Jimmy Buffet community, but I love the classic style of the John mayer album cover.

The target customer will be a male, over 40, some guitar experience, often foreign to the US, with expendable income.
