Hi. Here's my concept for your contest. Shield for strength and protection. An "A" in the shield with a negative space "i" inside of that.... which the "i" is a stylized type that also conveniently looks like a guy with his left arm raised.... interesting connection don't you think?

Sorry about that. I guess I was updating while you were ranking

I'm really liking this idea.. The dot at the end of the arm is great and thanks for the explanation of the idea. It really helps me visualize the concept.

Thanks for ranking this. It's already getting a bit of buzz too.

This is one that could be talked about all over the net on the design and marking sites and blogs. I know that's not the market you're appealing to directly, but any positve mention you get on the interent, even if it's design related, can never be bad for business.

People this see the effect will talk about it. People who don't see it at firt will talk about it even more after they do. You typically don't get that kind of bang for your buck with a logo.

I even heard a mention FedEx related to this design :)

Hello. I think the dot on the 'i' needed to be just a little bit higher. I also added and fixed a couple highlighting effects and played with the type.

Hope you still like it.

Maybe a slightly darker red or a steel gray. Just for kicks how about a square diamond for the dot on the I?

sure. I'll try it, but it might take some of the effect away from the abstract person.

Is this like a gunmetal?

Here's the darker red you asked for. I'm also working on the squared diamond for the dot, but I can't help but think it ends up looking like a robot or storm trooper.

Could you send me a PM. Just click on my name and hit the send message button. I have a question about usage for this logo

what I would do as far as business cards is print 1000 of each, black on red and red on black, then shuffle them together and hand them out randomly.

Full color glossy, 2 sided. About $50 bucks per thousand.
