Regarding colours - link you provided shows blue in RGB format, meaning it can correctly be displayed only on television or computer monitor. But since you want to use logo in printed media, we need to look for other shades of blue in CMYK format, suitable for printing.

Speaking about placing typography over symbol, I would not recommend this solution, since logo would not be legible and recognizable. I will work on "caduceus" stylization, so it's more clean and recognizable.

Symbol update and font variations. I have redrawn caduceus, it's my own drawing (no traced image or stock art).

Regarding your request about word size and typography: I've decided to you all capitals since it's most optically balanced - word height difference is not so significant.
