Entry #1- I think this is a good start. I don't think you have to use the fonts from Inside Columbia magazine's logo, otherwise you might end up with a crazy assortment of fonts. I like your initial color scheme. I wish this were a little more compact. Good start. Thanks,
Another couple of thoughts on Entry #1: I think the words "Inside Columbia's" could be in the same font and size as "Food.Wine. Friends." I'm also a little bothered by the awkwardness of the trapped white space between the words "Culinary" and :"Adventures." Finding a way to treat that space would make the logo more compact, I think. Thanks, again!
Entry #2- I can see that there's a trade-off when making this logo more compact. The font you're using for the word "Adventures" is so much more attractive when using upper and lower case. As a result of removing the mgazine's logo, I'm now sensing a balance issue on the left side of the logo. I wonder how it might be affected if the words "Inside Columbia's" were moved to the right, or if some type of rule or other graphic element in that upper right quadrant of the logo. Perhaps introducing a cooking utensil in that area might help??
Thanks for the quick feedback, for #2 and #3 I was thinking that the "Inside Columbia's" and the tagline, balance each other in color and size, by being aligned on different size. #3 incorporated both the food and drink elements.
On Entry #5- I'd like to see you re-introduce your Chef's hat off the "A" in "Adventures" in place of the champagne flute. I'm also wondering what the fork would look like in different colors? Thanks!
Entry #19 I like this because it's different than everything else I've seen. I wish there was a little depth or something a little more interesting behind the words in the circle. It's not as animated as the others, but I'd really like to see where this one takes us. thanks!
#23 and example of how the hat looks in red/orange. I'm still working on another circular design but It's taking time. I plan to upload another circular version in the next day or so. Thanks.
I'm really loving entries #29 and #23. On #29, is there a different color scheme that you would recommend to make this logo a little brighter and fresher? I love the balance, I just want it to pop a little more. Any ideas?
