Thank you all for the designs! Good work.

General comment:
- I like the streamlined, simple designs
- the logotype with pictorial logo is the way to go, it seems
- FireMatter is a word play on "Grey Matter". Play with the idea of "brains on fire", "fast intelligence"... maybe?

Spoecific comments:
#1 Can you please provide an option with the flaming logo in line to the left and an option with the flaming dot on the "i" in color? Can you also play with color in the logotype, maybe one part grey the other color? I am concered a bit about implementability of the treatments/shading/gradients: will there be a simplified version for b/w/grayscale/lowdef print?

#5 Can you please try different pictorial logo interations, maybe using dots instead of triangles (triangles remind me of some well known brand that I cannot recall right now)

#7, #6, #8 I like that you worked with different palettes! Not sure about the stars/sparkle inclusion. Can you try with different proportions of the pictorial flame logo? Can you give more "energy" to the flame shape?

Thank you!!!

#10 Thank you for your proposal. I feel the flame is a bit too static/symmetrical... but I like that is it stylized and simple. Also not sure about the font type...

#13 Interesting interpretation of the pictorial logo... I do however think it would work best if it were in line with the wordmark, maybe even lower-aligned?

#14 Thank you. I like the simplicity of the pictorial logo. Can you please try a) different proportions and shapes for the pictorial and b) different wordmark color combinations? Thank you!

#15 #16 Thank you Signal, good work! I like the new implementations better. I am a bit concerned that the orange/red pictorial mark would be to "complex" for things like t-shirt printing. Can you try different versions without reflection or without shading or with simpler gradients? Also can you try a version with the original workmark in two-tone greys? Thank you.

#17 and #18 Thank you Revotype. I like that you introduce the personal element in the pictorial mark. My favorite it #17, least favorite #18 (maybe too much surface treatment?). Can you take #17 and try different wordmark color combinations and different shapes of the pictorial mark face profile?

Thank you Nuke! #20 is in the direction I was thinking! Still maybe too complicated a logo... Can you try a more simplified/stylized version still using dots (similar amount of dots or even less then the original triangular concepts?) Also, I like the font type much better, can you try other similar fonts? I also like #21, great new concept. Can you try a version without shading? Thank you!

Wow Carrion, good work! Thank you for the different proportion options, very helpful. I like the proportions of #24 and the "energy" of pictorial logo #25. Could you now try a couple of different fonts/spacing and with/without Uppercase F and M? Thank you! PS: I also liked the light blue option of #6. Can you try a couple of versions of #25 using that color? Thank you!

Thank you zrox. #26 is better. The font of #27 is not what I am looking for. Can you try different concepts for the flaming brain? It feels "organic" but I am not sure it is obvious that it represent a brain... Thank you!

LGDesign, thank you for your new proposals! #32 is my favorite, beacuse of the direction of the flame and of the wordmark. The flame is too "complicated", though, for some of the applications. Can you simplify it? Can you also try some new font and wordmark shape/treatment? Thank you.

Another general comment about applications... I will plan to use a version of the pictorial logo for 16x16 to 48x48 favicons and dockbars. Please keep that in mind as you create your proposals. Thank you.

#33 thank you TillyDesign. I like your concern about implementation as favicons. Can you try a simpler, more stylized version. Also isn't the palette too much "firefox" like? Can you try different palettes? Also the wordmark font is definitely not what I am looking for. I am looking for something more elegant and with even x-y proportions. Thank you.

LGDesign, that was fast! I like concept #34. Maybe still too "complicated"? But I like the fact that you integrated it into the woerdmark. Please iterate on it. The font is still not what I am looking for, please look at the top rated proposals for ideas. I do not like the wing concept #35 :(. Thank you!

Thank you LG Design. #38 is the closest to what I was thinking. Can you iterate on it with different type of design on the flame and different fonts. I am interesting in more spaced, geometrical and linear sans fonts...

Wow, Nuke. Thanks for the production output! First of all my order of preference for the pictorial logos: #41 #42 #51. I like the reflection on #51, but not the tone of orange, can you try with some red gradients? As for the wordmark, I still prefer #41 or #52. The new one is too "skinny". I like the play with color in #51, but can you try with a stronger shade of orange? #39 Good direction, though I still think the pictorial mark is too complicated, please try with a lot less dots and two-tone (more like #5 but with dots). #40 #41 #43 I like the flame concept here! Try with more red tones and "energy" in the flame and maybe a slight gradient.

Carrion, thank you. First of all, I like the different fonts. My favorite fonts are in order #49 #50 #47. Can you try #49 lowercase? About the logo, I like very much what you have come to. Can you try to mix logos from #46 and #49 with logotypes from #50 and #49. Also, can you try a version with the word "fire" or the word "matter" in color? Thank you.

Thank you tonybright! I like the logo idea #56. I like the idea in #55 to use different tones of orange and red, but not the implementation. Can you try to iterate on #56 by adding simple gradient colors to the "dots"? Also, can you try a more stylized, simplified version of the logo starting from the same concept? Thank you!

#56 #55 About the logotype. This font is not what I am looking for. See other comments for background.

#59 #60 bikinSendiri, thank you for your new proposals. I like the logo idea VERY MUCH. It is simple and yet meaningful. The logotype font, color and treatment is however ABSOLUTELY NOT in line with the brief. Please review previous comments on the font and wordmark. I am going to rank this only because of the logo, so please iterate on the wordmark! Thank you.

#62 Thank you Signal, very nice. Can you try please, starting from #62 to reintroduce the red color gradient alone (not the reflective surface treatment of the flame nor the floor reflection) and try a version with the "matter" word in a tone of grey?

#65 Thank you Diaz for your concept. Please iterate on the workmark, I am not sure that font works. I am not sure about the logo, what are you trying to convey?

#68 I like your new concept much better. You are the only one who has tried to incorporate a logo in the wordmark. Thank you. Still I don't think the font works, but please make a few iterations with different flaming elements (maybe more geometric?). I like the direction you are taking.

tonybright, you are productive! In order of preference. #119 #102 #118 #69. These are definitely going in the right direction. Great improvement IMO. I wonder if you could try to use flat dots instead of a stretched/morphed shape to build the logo...

#75 Thank you Ai illusora. It would be great for print, I think, but I am afraid the logo is too refined for other applications (web, greyscale, lowres).

I like #78 and #79. Good job. Can you try a straight type and Upprecase combinations? thank you!

#81 #82 don't think the logo work, but the font is better. #80 Can you try a more stylized, geometric flame on the i. I think a chubbier, more spaced font would work better...

Thank you, bikinSendiri. Of the updated designs I liked on only #103. I think you can do find better font types.... But it is getting better. I like your new concept #114 #115. Still need to find a more compelling, font, more modern and stylish... #116 also interesting, can you try to change the palette? Thank you.

#95 Thank you Carrion, I like the new concept for the logo. I think in general the "matter"/"brain"/"content" aspect is being lost here, so I welcome attempts to bring it back. Maybe you can play with a human profile and a red brain in it? Just an idea, cause I have seen your other work and I think you can have great ideas. For the wordmark, I think uppercase works, like in #49.

#97 #101 Thank you Brandmaster Flash. Good idea, I like it. I thought the "matter" and "innovation" and "brain" aspect was getting lost, so good that you brought it back. I'd like to see a version with a deeper/brighter tones both with and without gradient. Also, I'd like the two words to show with a different tone or weight when in greyscale.

#17 #121 still my favorites. Can you try different, more geometrical head profile shapes?

#44 Definitely better. I like the geometry of the logo. Can you try to introduce the "matter" concept somehow?

One general comment. While "fire" conveys certain clear ideas of passion and intensity, it's the "matter" that threatens being lost in the name, since it is not such a clear-cut meaning or rather it can mean many things. I'd like to underline again that the brand is a WORD PLAY on "GREY MATTER"... Think BRAINPOWER, INTELLIGENCE, THINKING, BRAINS, INNOVATION, IDEAS... Some of the recent proposals (e.g. #95 #97 #121 #103) have introduced this concept and I think it is the right direction. Thank you all.

Logo Designer
Hi ,

- You requested that some designers not ranked 1 submit some variations, but because the contest is in judging, only the first ranked designer can upload designs due to technical limitations.
- In order to allow those other designers to upload the revisions that you requested you'll need to temporarily rank those designers in first place to allow for the upload
- You can always re-rank designs before the contest closes and you make your final selection.
- You can do this for any designer in the contest from whom you wish to see final revisions before making your choice.

Best Regards,
Carrion

Hi Matteo, I have the files ready to upload whenever you're ready. As Carrion explained any designers you want to upload new versions need to be placed into first to do this during judging mode. You can change designers as often as you like until you find what you're looking for.

Thanks.
