We get the ink drops being used, thank you, but they remind us more of rain drops... Maybe incorporate ink splatter(s) vs drops, or maybe have the word INK dripping like it was wet ink/paint? just trying to think outside the box. Want a really bad ass looking logo, but also needs to be one that can be easily embroidered as well as screen printed, all while producing a clean and sharp looking end product/logo.

Also, I just got schooled, by the wife... the slogan is to be - your brand is our business and not just your brand, our business.

Sorry for not updating sooner, but have been down and out of commission…

Digging the way the word THREAD has the leader and/or tail going through a needle in the currently ranked 1st, 2nd and 4th rankings.

We also like the word INK in the ink spill of the currently ranked 2nd and 4th, but would like to see more of a splatter pattern

Like the currently 5th ranked design, but still not crazy about the ink drop, would like to see more of a splatter look, and the thread portion of the design to look more like a thread similar to the currently ranked 1st, 2nd and 4th.

Currently ranked 1st design… What if we lost the jar and had the ink dripping from the bottom of the word INK, with a splatter of the ink dripping through the top of the needle and transitioning through the needle and into the thread coming from the bottom of the needle and into the word THREAD very similar to as it is now. Lose the solid green line/rectangle above the word INK?

Lots of great entries and I want to thank each of the designers for the work put into this project thus far!

I am hoping, with a few more tweaks, we can narrow it done and pick a final design today. We have a promo we are wanting to roll out, this weekend, and the new design is paramount!

One suggestion, pertaining to the designs currently ranked 1st and 4th, received "I wonder if it might go well in a vertical patch like the Texas one in your brief."

Another thought/suggestion that might be worth looking at... Including Texas in the top ranked designs that don't have Texas included. How would it look if we tried replacing the oval background, of 3rd ranked, with Texas. Or, if we replaced the ink splatter background, behind INK, with an ink splatter of Texas.

On the 2nd ranked... This has been a favorite since the get go and it is still a front runner. Not sure how to jazz it up a bit, or if it even needs it. I would like to see if we could have the ink splatter repositioned to represent Longview, Texas. It is close, but I think we might need to move it a bit further east and maybe a tad more north. Would really need to do an overlap with an actual map to determine.


My paln… Lets see a few of the above thoughts and suggestions incorporated and then narrow it down to no more than six choices. Once we are at that point, I am going to field test the six and see what feedback we get back. Based on that feedback... make a final decision. Hoping this can happen today, if at all possible.

Please feel free to take the top ranked designs and the before mentioned thoughts and come up with an entirtely new concept as well.

Pertaining to the currently ranked 2nd design... Two more awesome thoughts/suggestions just received. "I see you are very open to an "east Texas" vibe so that certainly hits the nail on the head with the ink blot. I'd try a version with ink blot maybe 50% bigger to see what that looks like. Or maybe a distressed lonestar in place of the blob, and ink blots in place of the two stars on the outer rim."

Love the use of TEXAS behind the & sign of currently ranked 3rd design. Not sure why, but I like the ink splatter (behind INK) in the 4th ranked better than the 3rd ranked???

On the 1st ranked design, and/or any of the other designs for that matter... What would it look like if we made the top inside (of the & sign) the shape of the Lone Star and the bottom inside the shape of Texas.

Okay...

On the design currently ranked 1st... we are extremely close. Can we please move the ink splatter further to the East/right. Longview is much close to the Texas/Louisiana border than it currently shows. Then and on the ink splatter. Can we please clean it up just a bit. Please leave the main splat portion, but please move all the little specs (that are actually attached to the primary splat). I want to make sure we are able to get a clean and crisp embroidered logo. Screen print won’t be an issue, but embroidery...

On the currently ranked 2nd design... the voters have spoken and I am forcing myself to listen... “Maybe shrink the TX and & sign just slightly so it isn’t overlapping the ink. But this is my fav.” And another voter says, basically the same thing “Top of the Texas is blending in with green splatter. It’d look better in my opinion if you shrank the splatter & really made the Texas more definable.”

Currently ranked 3rd...

Please clean it up just a bit. Please get rid of all the lilttle ink spots scattered around and just leave the drips dripping off of the bottom of the letters INK and down into the needle and the word THREAD. Just please remove all the little individual spots and all the spots splatter marks above the bottom of the letters INK. Want to keep the dripping look, but no splatter marks on this one. Again, thinking about how it’s going to stitch out

Sorry I haven’t been in the game for a couple of days, as I have been down and out with strep throat and influenza. With that, I am way behind the eight ball and need to finalize and make my pick tomorrow. I am really torn, as were our voters, between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranked designs. Please make the above requested tweaks and I will pick tomorrow, as soon as the tweaks have been made. Pending on additional cost, I may very well be interested in purchasing two of the three, if not all three. Again, pending additional cost.
