#21 Innovative idea, cleanly executed. This got positive reaction from the group . . . but some didn't care for the "blocky" treatment of the R and G in IORG. You might also try dropping the tagline.
#49 We're getting very close on this. I would appreciate a few more shots at the name of the group. We'd prefer not having the initial caps of each word in bold. I'm not quite sure how to describe what I'd like to see in a font . . . probably still sans serif, but a bit less utilitarian and more elegant. The challenge may simply be that the type is so horizontally condensed. Thanks for all your effort on this. We're looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.
Thanks for the feedback. Here's some different font choices. I don't know if any of them were what you were looking for. Let me know if you want to try something else or make any tweaks.
1. The font in the first ranked version (#75) is indeed good, but I'd like to see it with a bit less emphasis (slightly thinner lines, keeping everything else the same) and see if that helps.
2. The vertical line in the switch symbol may be too short - it often starts at the exact center of the circle, or even below that point (I should know; my article on the evolution of this symbol is my most popular blog post ever). That doesn't mean we can't leave it as is, but let's see it with 2-3 slightly longer options and see which looks best.
3. Do we like the shade of blue? I'm not against it. but the designer can probably offer some different blues for us to choose from.
If you could offer some options along these lines, that would be helpful. Also, although we've stuck to sans serif so far, could we see one version with Garamond?
At this point, it's pretty much a matter of tying up the loose ends. Thanks for submitting a design that we'll be proud to put on our web site and use in our materials.
Here's 4 more variations. Let me know if you want try any specific combinations of font, color, and power symbol from these or the original version. Thanks
