Red is best, words in black or white, or red. White is also ok. Other than that...surprise me.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
See this logo from the church I started several years back, http://southbrookchurch.com/impact_class This is along the right track, but I'm looking for something a little more like the top designs in the "SEAL" contest currently being run.

This is a great start! Keep them coming!

Some suggestions might be to go for some 3D looks (keeping them simple) adding other colors for the metal affect, incorporating the "i" in impact as well as doing a completely separate logo.

Two contests I saw that had a lot of logos going in the direction I wish are, SEAL watch co. and Armored Brain. Many of you may have submitted for those -- if so, the simple logos and stand alone icons are what I'm going for.

So many logos now!! It's difficult to choose, but I do see some emerging themes. What I find I like is the separate icon approach rather than turning the 'i' in impact into something or the 't' into a cross. I want a logo that can stand alone as well as with the words, "Impact Church."

I also like the logos that seem 3D over the flat ones. Obviously, the one contradiction to what I said is the currently number one ranked entry where the designer did have the symbols illustrate both the 'i' in impact as well as the 'C; in church. I really do want the symbol to cause someone to think of 'making an impact' or 'leaving a mark,' so it shouldn't be too ambiguous.

There's still a look I need to see and I wish I was better at describing it. Nevertheless, here goes...

1. I want to see something unique done with the 'i' in impact (perhaps a bullseye around the dot like a double halo)
2. Or, have the dot in the 'i' make an impact on something
3. Here is our church's vision statement, perhaps it will help...

"We exist to make an impact for Christ by marking the body, the community, the world, and the future with His love."

Also, I like some depth and dimension to the logo (metallic, 3D, etc)

Still need someone to uniquely use the dot in the "i" as a place om impact (movement, vibration, collision, etc). Some get halfway there like #76 or #110 but there's still something missing...

I like how a few have tried to incorporate both the "i" and the "c" into one logo. Show me some more illustrations on this. Meanwhile, here are a couple logos out there that might get the ball rolling...

As we close out, I would still be interested in seeing a couple more solid (stand alone) circle entries like in the SEAL contest. Anyone want to throw a couple of those in?

I've received a lot of very nice logos from you all! Thank you! Let's try just one more thing before wrapping this up...

I've extended the contest one more day in order to get more entries of the "stand alone" variety. I don't know any other way to describe what I'm after in this last phase other than to show you 5 or 6 links to church logos that grabbed my attention off google images. The following stood out to me from hundreds of others. Let's see if they can spur some further entries. Obviously, these are copy-writed logos, so jut gain inspiration from them...

That should do it.

Thanks,
