Thanks for getting us started! A few quick comments: (1) "Baptist" is spelled wrong; (2) I'd like to see the symbol part of the logo be able to stand alone from the text, so that if we wanted to use the symbol by itself, we could; (3) I'd like "Baptist Church" to be a little smaller (not much, though)
Overall, could I see a few alternate designs (switching colors between symbol and text, a couple different font options, etc.)? At this point, seeing options will help immensely. Thanks again!
We really like #8 and #5. I guess though that we are looking for more of an olive green than the greens pictured, and we would like to add in a deep gray blue also. We like the symbol, but are thinking of something a little less celtic.
Thank you very much for your encouraging and directive feedback. I have made the updates as you requested to the logo, adding the gray/blue color to the cross, and also removing the edges of the other cross.
I really like the font used in #23. Could we try a design with the Baptist Church in that font or similar? I am still liking #21. We live in a big boating area and I guess I was thinking of trying to make that symbol look like a window- maybe like a porthole? What if we tried the cross in brown, and the inside in blue- something a little deeper with a raised 3d look? Thanks for all your hard work!
Good morning! I will get started on creating some more logos based on your feedback from this morning. I will have something posted back within the hour.
We really like the simplicity of #14. Could you make the cross look less hand drawn and more crisp looking like the lines in #13? Also, we would like to see some different fonts for Immanuel. Still something professional, maybe even simpler.
And then we would like to see a design keeping the symbol as is in #14 and working more with the fonts to get the feelings to match better. For Baptist Church maybe try another font like the script in #29, but less formal?
I guess we are feeling that the symbol and font for #14 don't feel like they go together and would love to see the feelings of both separately.

I hope you enjoy the logos I'm posting for you! The latest couple that I just uploaded I made the gray/blue grunge circle look more like a navigational compass with the cross in the middle since you mentioned you are by a coastline/harbor.
Hi there! I have attached two new designs. I have put the symbol on the side of the one, as requested. And I created another logo with a more elegant looking font, with the symbol.

Could we try #56 with the symbol on top again- I like how the font is less distressed and Baptist church is spread out; let's try Immanuel in the same font, but not in bold. And how about a second version that is all in a solid brown. Thanks!
Could you take design #73 and maybe lighten up the compass spikes behind the cross? I still really like this design but I think it is looking a little bit too much like a snowflake to me. Thanks:)
I have uploaded 4 more revised logos. I have lightened the # 73 one. And I have also uploaded another which I really like, #140. It has more of a starburst effect behind the cross.
If it helps in your judging process, logo #151 that I designed that is currently in 3rd place, I have made the "star burst" behind the cross into 3 different color shades. The olive green, blue, and brown you like. I was just unable to upload them because this contest is in the judging phase and I'm not 1st. ;)
