Here is the logo idea I came up with. I wanted to keep it clean and professional. The round plate icon has your initials with a chef hat, and the custom wordmark has a fork and knife included (subtle, but a nice touch). I can see both of the logo parts looking great together, or on their own if you prefer.
I love the knife and fork coming out of the last name. I think the icon is really cool as well. Where else can you place the icon and the name together? Maybe by the end of Ilana like a thought bubble?
Here is a revised layout, per your requests. This one is very fitting and suitable for web-use, as well as 4-color process printing. I will post an alternate (flat) one that would work great for silk-screening and/or embroidery.
I love the lettering on 42 and the layout of 39. I also think the size of the icon with the text is great with #39. #38 is really cool, but too stylized for me. I also really like the double outline on the icon 43. Really cool looking. I like it all a lot
Thanks for all of the additional detail feedback; that helps a lot. Here is a new one for you to see that kind of encompasses everything you mentioned that you like. I am liking the overall feel of this one quite a bit.
Glad you like it. If I happen to think of some additional options, I will get them posted as well. Otherwise, if anything comes to mind on your end, feel free to let me know. Thanks again; this particular design was a lot of fun!
a few more thoughts, can we make the Personal Chef back to gray. I still like the drop shadow. What would it look like if Ilana was a different color than Blumberg. Layout is perfect on #39. Let's just see what it looks like with some tweaking. Thanks!
And here it is with Ilana in a separate color as well. I think it would be wise to still limit it to the 2-colors, but we can explore adding a 3rd color as well if you want. I like this one a lot.
No problem; here you go. I think I prefer the drop shadow on all, to be honest. Both look good though. And whenever the name is by itself (or the icon by itself) you could always choose between a drop shadow or not, depending on the application.
I'm settled with #55 and #43. After the contest is over, I am interested in designing my business cards, the large logo on one side and the name + website, phone and email on the other side.
That sounds great. If you would like to end your contest early, you may--a lot of CHs are not aware of this, so I figured I should mention it to speed things up for you. That way, all of your contact information will be relayed to me via the official contract, and I can send you an email with all of your files. We can discuss business cards at that time as well.
