We have thought a few times about the DNA double helix in the shape of an infinity symbol, but are open to other ideas. The name Ikarian refers to the island of Ikaria in Greece. The island was named after Icarus, who flew too close to the sun and had his wings burned off. We chose the name for two reasons: 1) because the residents of Ikaria regularly live to be over 100 years old on average. 2). The story of Icarus would always remind us to stay humble and not fly too close to the sun, lest we too plummet back to Earth. Incorporating wings or a sun in the logo might work too.
