IdeaMarkLogo Design Contest

Entry #15:
We really like the abstract eye that you're using - better without the orange dot in the eye. We like the idea of having the dot of the "i" as one of the dots that break up signs - print - web, but we don't think that it would work on certain applications: offset works well, but justified to IdeaMark.

Very nice as well - we like the shape that was used around the eye. We like the green/turquoise for the eye, but not sure if the green stands out enough for the text. We like the slightly bolder font used in #15.

We initially liked this concept, but are leaning away from the thought balloon. Very nice concept though! ..just a little too 'cartoony'. We like the use of the upside-down "i"

Very creative - nice font, but it seems to read 'deamark' - perhaps because of the orange 'i'. The eye is unique, but we are looking for something more subliminal that ties into the text. The eye is good by itself and the text is good by itself, but doesn't seem to fit together.
I look forward to seeing what other ideas you come up with!

We really like the metal/aluminum look. It was hard to see what the symbol was, but once we saw the 'm', it is a nice concept. I think this thought can be refined - the symbol is hard to see at a distance and the 'i' is not easily identified

It is hard to see what the symbol is. Can you explain what it is, and also post it larger, without all of the white space? Perhaps put the symbol on the same line as ideamark.

I would want a different choice of font though. I also want 'idea' to stand out more than 'mark'. Great initial designs, I look forward to seeing what else you come up with!

General Comments:
We don't want a huge focus to be on the eye - it is a concept we mentioned, but not completely sold on - we want to see other unique ideas. Even if it is making use of the "i" or "im" as the symbol.
We are not fond of thought balloons - we want to stay away from a 'cartoony' look. We want it to have a surf logo feel - modern and hip.

We like the orange/turquoise for the text as the colors are more bold and pop. But, we are not sold on these colors that we suggested either.

We want you to take liberties to present something unique - even if it is opposite from our 'suggestions' - different colors or different than what our 'stylistic sliders' suggest.

I am leaning towards a horizontal format: if there is a symbol, I would like to see it to the left of the text or even in between 'idea' and 'mark'

We can not submit the logo designs with the website page behind them. LT deleted our entries. I will upload my logo files without the backgrounds tonight again. ;0)

I accidently deleted the #2 ranked design but it had the background of the website on it. If you could rerank the new ones submitted, I would appreciate it. ;0)

I like having ideamark inside of a shape - this allows me to keep the white/orange lettering by having brown (or a dark wood) in the background. Designlab has done a great job of this in #83

I look forward to seeing some additional ideas. I do not like the ultra-standard fonts that are in some of the ideas. I like the fonts in #83, #77, #97, #112.

I like seeing the font being modified to be part of the design or to have a unique shape... like #83
