We really like some of these! Can you send #82 in caps so we can compare? We also would like to see #82 in some other fonts - perhaps some other "classic" type fonts?
Dr. Ibbotson himself, likes #74 - can you send us #74 with the same font, but the word "ibbotson" in lower case, and "ASSET MANAGEMENT" in caps? Thank you!
now that i look at it, #76 is the one we like as well - perhaps we could see it with "asset management" in caps? also, can we see some other fonts - maybe some heavier-type fonts.
I really like #101 and the fact that you've been very responsive! If we were to select your design/logo, would we have to do a trademark/copywrite search to make sure this is a UNIQUE logo? I need to be sure that this icon does not belong to anyone else and is truly unique!
also, if we were to select this logo, we want to be sure the icon is easily transferable to business cards, website, etc. Would you provide us with the original in many different sizes in it's original form so that we can reproduce it? Right now, when I copy and paste it, it looks fuzzy, but i am sure that's only because it's a duplicate and not the original?
Yes you can do a trademark search, i did this icon just in this contest so im not doing a copy of another but its ok if you want to do a search.
About the symbol, do you want it on different sizes? Because logotournament stablished this sizes to prevent any copy, so by this way i cant send you on different (bigger) sizes.
I think i can send it to you by email, so you need to tell me where i can send it, but i asure you that the icon is easily transferable to business cards, websites and all that you want. I can work with you after the contest with those designs if you want to.
Actually, when a contest end, is when the winner designer have to send the originals and of course in a bigger size :D
i think it's between 96 and 101 at this point, but ideally if you could send to me so that i can print out a clear copy and circulate among my team we can discuss. once we decide on a final logo, we will want to use it on b-cards, website, etc, so having a workable version will be the key. my email is greg.teitel@zebracapm.com
Diana - can you do #144 in darker blue? also, can you do #146 w/capital letters for "asset management"? We like some of these simple liquid/water filled letters. If you can submit some more using this concept, we would appreciate it!! Thanks, Greg
Diana - somone also said that these logos don't look serious enough - can you also try making them look less like a cartoon with mabye a black outline or other fonts or other colors - the concept could work though.
Ok i'll work with that.. the thing is that of course it can't look very proffesional because you want liquid in the letter so that make it a little like cartoon, but if you want something very professional it has to be without liquid and all that 3d things, like we used in the previous designs with the global icon. But let me try other designs and you tell me what do you think. What im seeing is that you are a team, so obviously when is a team everybody thinks differet and that creates that every logo has a "but" for someone of the team, so it would be great if everybody are in the same direction with the shapes, colors, idea, etc :D
Hi Diana - you are correct, there is a team, but Dr. Ibbotson's opinion is really the one which matters most. I will show these ideas to him later and see what he thinks. I like #148, but I agree, with liquid going through the letters, it doesn't look so "serious." Dr. Ibbotson thought maybe the old global logo's font would work with a very simple icon which is a 1 squiggly line on the left in dark blue a big more curvy than the one you have in #142, and instead of 3 lines, but 1 dark line, but really curvy. As I said before, we really liked the globe idea, but we didn't think it was original enough since it looks like AT&T's logo too much. So, we're sort of back to square 1 looking at ideas which can still communicate liquidity in a very very simple way. We would love to see anything else you come up with.
Hi Diana - #157 is good. What would it look like if the right side of the "wave" ended with a small upward arrow (like a graph on a chart of a stock) . . . .perhaps, that way it might look like liquidity and making money - a stock market going up? could that work? Stocks always go up and down, but if we are going to use a wave of water or any water in motion type icons, i want to make sure the icon ends in a upward motion, not a downward motion. does that make sense?
There are now the new entries about the arrow and the water drop. While i was looking everything i think my favorites are #148 and #101. I think that #148 seems professional for me, even you said that doesn't look profesional enough. And #101 well i think it was the first idea with all the details that we have been working. But i leave you the new entries and you tell me what your team think about what can be the winner.
Hi greg. There are now many options with different fonts, first in "asset management" and then with "ibbotson" I really think the final design is the "one", but well i try to used different font styles and if you like one of those it can be the winner as well, but for me the winner must be the font we have been using. Best regards! Diana
Hi greg, i just uploaded new entries with a change of color on asset management, instead of gray, i put it blue. So just to compare and see witch one do you prefer. Regards!
