My 1st proposal. The symbol is meant to be a monogram of H and C.

And here's my 2nd proposal. Still using the HC concept where C can be seen in the negative space.

entz, I really like the monogram concept. entry #4 would be my favorite, if the "H" became a little more visible in the negative space.
The fonts you used look nice, but would you consider using an "all caps" font where the initials "H" and "C" are a little bigger/stand out more?
nice work

Hi there,

thanks! I'll modify the icon a bit so that the H is more visible and i'll give the font a try as per your suggestion.

Cheers!

thanks, Denis for #5. Apparently you understand what I meant to say ... not always easy ...

I like the monogram logo better now, but why didn't you keep it on top? I had liked it better above the text (#4)
Also, would you consider experimenting a little more with the respective sizes of H and C in the logo? I wonder if you could emphasize the H a little more ... just thinking, I really don't know.

in regards to #3 and #2: let's not give up on these ideas. a little tweaking might bring out the H and C a little better. one reaction I got for #2 was: "could be builder/contractor" and "could be chemical company". maybe you can steer it away from that forst impression? with #3 it's kind of hard to see the C now ...

but we're getting closer.

re #5: do you think it would work to give the downstrokes of C and H the same width? that would of course mean extending the frame on the right side to make room for the added negative white space.

Hi,

sorry about the alignment of the icon. I was just trying some other positioning of the icon. I mean, it will be useful to have 2 alignment for your logo. One on top and one on either left or right of the text.

Ok sure, i'll try some more tweak to the H and C in the logo. I get what you mean for the same width for the downstroke of the H and C. I've tried it and it just looks a little off. I think it's because of the space all round the centre square. But i'll just give it a try just to show you.

ok for #2 and #3. I'll tweak those as well no worries :)

Thanks for all those feedbacks.

Cheers!
Denis.

Updated proposal. Option 1: a fatter H.

Updated proposal. Option 2: equal space all around which is the exact thickness as the H.

Denis,

I really like working with you. #9 and #10 are the best so far, can't make up my mind which one is better, yet. I get what you mean when you say the proportions looked a little off. I tried to scribble it myself and it looked weird. You're right.
You see, your entries appeal to me partly because they bring out something I wasn't even aware of when naming the company: The firm's initials are the same as mine. So ... playing around with that monogram logo is important. I want the "H" to become as visible as possible. Right now the "C" appears very dominant. But I wouldn't know how to balance that. I'm sure you do ...

Thanks

Hi Christian,

cool! you will be able to use the monogram for branding both yourself and your company :)
Ok, i'll try to bring out the H more. I personally think that the H should be dominant.
The C stands for consulting, which is quite a common word. That's what i think.
I'll try reversing it out and see what happens.

Cheers!
Denis.

I'd really like to see your top entries in a BROWN color scheme. Could you do that?

better.
but you left the complimentary color unchanged, right? I thought you'd go darker on both colors. sorry. I should have said that. I'd like the tagline to become more legible.
also: would it work to increase the size of the tagline? or would that look off?

Client
hmmm .... what's the difference between #45 and #46?

Logo Designer
The difference is that the brown a little darker. Ok, i'll darken the lighter color as well. I was thinking of changing the font for the tagline. Right now it's hard to read.

well, if the "yellow" in #46 was darker I'd like it better (I think)

Here you go.. adjusted the yellow and the font for the tagline.

#47 is better again. still: I'd like to see how dark you can go with that scheme ... thanks, Denis

Client
one more request: can you apply the #47 tretment to #10 as well, please?
and (just thinking, not sure): how would it look if you moved the monogram up a bit, increesing the distance between the company name and the monogram ... wonder what that might look like.

Logo Designer
ok sure. I'll work on those tweaks to both entries.
