We like this one, but is there any way to confirm that it does not violate existing copyrights for similar logos?

I am pretty sure I started with this one from scratch (pencil to digital).

My inspiration is the symbol of the flame or torch which is used to symbolized academe, education. It being a form of light also represents enlightenment or knowledge and often, hope. From this, I was able to come up with the idea of using people instead of flames or to transform the flames into people as this is by the way a network of people advocating HUMAN rights. From there I made variation of adding the leaf as this too is a strong symbol for education and removed the torch below to streamline the design.

Thanks. Can we do without the leaf, or using some other design element? There is some concern that it makes it look too much like the UN or certain Indonesian political party logos (not in copyright, but just in spirit).

I think we can do without the torch portion as well, otherwise it looks like we are burning the people. :)

thank you for your feedback. I removed the leaf as you requested and changed it into the sun. If you will notice I only used 10 rays as I read there are only 10 member countries in the ASEAN. Sun represents change/hope, happiness, life

We like these. Can we see the "Human Rights" text in lowercase? It is not an acronym like ASEAN. This may just be stylistic.
