Two additional comments 1. Can you add one or two flowers in the vertical part? 2. What is you put the bricks in the shady part? Looking forward to your reply! Sjoerd
The reason you are ranked first is because we like the spirit of your design, as well as the modular approach. this is something we are applying as well. we also like the story it tells: Bring life to the city garden.
Though, after discussion with our independent art director we would like to make the following comments to make the logo applicable for our business branding (website, store design, packaging, business cards, etc.)
* Font: we would like to see a more luxury font (something from the Times family) * Colouring: would it be possible to use brighter colours? * Form: Can you make a "store-sign" example of your logo (picture before 'House of Green")? * Complexity: How can we apply the different elements (brick, leave, flower, wildlife) in practice? Perhaps split-up the picture into 4 components? (this is just thinking out loud)
Tomorrow, 3 hours before the end of the final round we will have an internal discussion again.
Hi Nance, please find the feedback from our art director;
"Concerning the 1st choice logo i defiantly prefer the new font. The word OF might be nicer written in small letters rather than capitals. Ask them to try it. Concerning the colours i think its to much. To many colours. I like the brown and new greens they have used as they are brighter but its unnecessary to add the pinks, reds and blues. Ask them to use the previous colour version and to replace the new brown and greens. I prefer the bird in orange and the bee as on the previous one."
I do see the strenght of the font seperately from the picture, nice. But what do you think of the picture itself? It is telling our story (a house of green that brings life to the city garden), but it is too big/complex to see it on its own now.
Can you resize it, perhaps by removing the middle layer of leaves? And what about the 3D-effect without the shade? - that is what I like so much about #140; a combination of both could make a winner.
Good news for you; our investors have a preference for your designs. Now we would like towards a good final version of the logo. This might require some additional work, but I am confident we will get there together!
What we would like to ask you is to make the following changes; 1. Font; we prefer a more solid and bold typeface (we liked the font type of #185 of seindesigns) 2. Illustration; we find the current illustration a bit too complex. Could you simplify the illustration by creating a mix of #190 and #140. The roof may be removed since it limits the openess of your design.
We will keep you in first position, so you will be able to provide us with the requested updates. We really look forward to them.
Thank you in advance and let's bring this to the end together!
good to have you back in the game! Thanks for the update. Would you be so kind to read the previous comments as well? See comment: December 18th, 2012, 9:28am
We like the font of designs #183 and #134, ranked 2nd and 12th. These are a bit more contemporary and more practical to use for store fronts. See also comment December 20th, 2012, 8:09am
The other things is the picture; I am concerned about the usability of the for POS material. What do you think? Your design #140 is more compact, but the colouring is only suitable for autumn.
