I love tractor pulls!!! Are you looking to play on the words Hoosier or Deere? or more of a tractor image?

Hoosier refers to state, not Indiana University. I am a Purdue Grad. So something that incorporates Indiana would be good. as well as incorporating an actual Deer in the concept could work as well. I am a very open to unique concepts. it would be interesting to see both Indiana and a Deer into it.....but my no means is that all i am looking for.

I like how #4 incorporates the state and deere together.

I like the clean lines of #5. the spinning tire deers are cool as well.

#1 is a little to "mechanical"

I have purposely not ranked them yet because I/we like several of them. I fully anticipate as the contest winds to rank the designs extensively so designers that took the time to participate get points.

Haven't seen much that incorporates agriculture into a concept yet which might be another neat approach.

adding facial features in #11 and #12 help the look of the deer

Thanks for the update CH! Just wondering if we could get some feedback so that we can improve upon our designs or scrap the idea all together.. thanks!

Regarding the spinning deer imagery in #3 and other concepts it looks more like a buffalo than a deer.

the largest object of the logo needs to be the name "Hooser Deere"

I appreciate your feedback and I can use that to make some modifications. Would like to know more about your interest in colors, color backgrounds, 2D vs 3D appearance, etc... Thanks

One big thing to remember is the ability of the fan to be able to read the writing on the tractor side shield from up in the stands. I've seen too many paint jobs that are way too busy to read just standing next to the tractor. Bright colors for the name and not too busy are key. #15 looks decent but the color of the name needs to be brighter. If the name gets brighter, does the deer need to change colors? I don't know, just asking. The light colored deer looks better than the brown deer, though. Thanks for all the effort!

One last thing, #18 might look good if there were some color changes made. Concept is good!

In looking at some photos of other tractors with images on them, I can see where some are very simple text images while others are very detailed. I also wonder, if the tractor is going to be John Deere green aren't you concerned the image will get lost in all that green unless it contrasts the green in some way? If you want it visible from the stands then that is something I would be concerned with.

You've mentioned the deer and agriculture to be considered for your image, but it might help if we had some idea what emotions you want this image to portray, such as humorous, intimidation, dramatic, etc. I see it as a projection of attitude and I'm not sure what kind of attitude you want to project with this image.

It could help a lot if you could give use some feedback like that otherwise we don't have a good sense of direction to be designing towards.

Thanks.

#57 looks good but need to make sure it will standout on a green background, maybe a few different color schemes on the front would be interesting. more yellow with less gradient effects.

#26 is interesting but the skull is the wrong way to go but I like the font of hoosier deere and how clean the logo is.

#66 and #67 are interesting as well but as an initial concept but the image doesn't look like a deer it looks more like an antelope. i like the smoke effect on the antlers and actually our stacks angle like that so it fits how the tract will work just. it is a clean and crisp design which is why i ranked one of them. The Word Deere needs to bigger in both. it needs to stand out just as much as hoosier.

#59, #60, and #61 are all to busy

#36 good text and lettering just not sure about the image. a little to collage looking for me. needs to be cleaner.

all in all great work.

couple of general comments. Hoosier Deere needs to be the boldest part of the logo

Thanks!

just went through and ranked them again. some very very impressive late designs. #82 and #83 are very good and the top 6 are all very interesting and meet what we want in different ways. we are going through the final decision making process. can someone help and tell me what happens after the contest ends.

if we want minor changes to some of the ranked entries, is that allowed before we pick the winner? or does that all have to be done before the contest ends.

Logo Designer
minor changes can be made by the 1st ranked designer ONLY during judging mode... so if you want some of the ranked entries to do so, you'll have to rank each one 1st to allow them to submit the changes. I would suggest leaving feedback for them so they can work on it until they are placed in 1st.
