Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page:

https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

so #9 is currently ranked first because I think it's a good mix of conveying the right look and feel, however one problem I have with it is "HOME" is far more pronunced than "SERVICE" . Home and Service should be equally pronounced. World can be equal with the two or less pronounced (such as in #11 or #8). this might even be preferable. Keep them coming, will post more notes soon...

One other item to mention because I see a number of logos coming in all with a "home" visual, I think it's important to mention that the "service" aspect is at least as important as home-- remember this is not a real estate site, this is for services within the home. so other elements are also important. perhaps a version with simple icons may work (a window, a paintbrush, a moving box, a wrench, etc). Just a thought.

Please see above comment about potentially using multiple icons for services (window/paintbrush/wrench/moving box/satellite dish/etc). My thought was maybe each icon could be its own color- this will help us arrange each of the sections on the site (ie: window icon could be blue, painting icon could be orange, satellite dish icon could be purple, etc etc)

Still waiting on a designer to attempt any type of variation on what is described above.

Some of the more recent icon-based marks are definitely in the right direction. I especially like the cube-type 3D style such as #58, but other formats such as #64 and #88 are also promising. For the font/lettering, I'd like to see more titlecase versions, such as #84, or slight changes in the font by word such as #81 though I don't think the serif fonts work. Keep 'em coming!
