Hip Hop EvolutionLogo Design Contest

Hi,

This is my idea for your logo. I have been a fan of hip hop for a long time, and the idea of the cityscape and the mic seem really overused for everything hip hop related. So, i used this logo to somewhat mimic the RUN DMC logo because their logo is very strong and easily recognisable. Also, they were one of the most respected rap groups that promoted clean raps which suits the theme of your show very well. Hope you like it. Let me know what you think. Thank you.

Make the black guy with the afro on the right, have his arms folded.

Put a multi cultural male in the middle with the hat like the link on.

put a multi culture woman with longer hair on the left.

We want the person on the left to be facing sideway, the person in the middle to be facing towards the front, and the person on the right to be at a forty five degree angle.

make the girl have some headphones on..she can be clinching the headphones with her hands, like she his rocking out, have the black man with the afro on the right with his arms crossed, have the person in the middle posing with his hands flared like the picture entitled " run dmc greatest hits" Try another one with the middle person posing with a microphone. Really give this graphic some soul!

These are my new entries for your logo. Designed three characters that you requested, and i decided to make them as simple as possible so it doesn't take away from the word logo also. Even though the characters are simple, i used contrast to strengthen the important elements in the characters. Hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

Added "Hip Hop Is Not Dead." on t-shirt opposing the hip hop is dead message due to mainstream club/gangster rap and autotune.
