I actually met Hal a long time ago and had him autograph his book in South Bend, IN. My parents and I all trained for the Sunburst Marathon that finished on the Notre Dame 50 yard line. I didn't find out till after I finished that I wasn't eligible for awards since I was underage. 16. I can make any changes to make Hal's logo a perfect fit.
(This is Hal using Laura's password.) I liked this design, although I'm not sure it's a "winning" design because it looks like a logo that would fit better on a T-shirt than at the top of my Website or at the top of my Virtual Training Bulletin Boards (everything accessible through halhigdon.com). For that purpose, a horizontal design might work better than a vertical design. But please note that I said "might." I am willing to be surprised. Also, talking to all of the designers, would some different colors be interesting? Like red and blue, or red and black. I realize that after we get a winner, we can always tweak the colors.
Running is a great sport for the whole family. My parents and I were in a race almost every weekend. The Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan had several races to choose from almost every weekend. My mother made bedspreads out of the t-shirts from the various races.
I really hope that I can be your designer on this one. It seems strange that only a few weeks prior I had spotted your book, The Marathoners, on my Mom's bookshelf.
