Thanks so much for your contributions! Your design was one of the top two. Based on our survey, the other was chosen, but both had heavy support. Your design was very creative. I think the overall visual similarity of the other logo to the official logo was one factor that pushed it ahead. (Since we are still keeping the official log.) If we ever do a re-design, I hope to keep your contact info to consider your design again. Thank you!
One thing I've noticed is that as the font is made bolder, the jaggedness really becomes pronounced. Is it possible to keep the boldness and overall letter shape while reducing some of the jagged edges on the letters? Not an overall smoothing though, which seems to start to "melt" the letters a bit.
Thanks. I'll get input from the others here as well. My own opinion is that the cross is better that way than straight sided. I also like the tagline. Could you try it where the tagline stays together and the tail of the letter "g" has a break in it to allow for the tagline to go through? Thanks!
I'd be interested to see a version that uses these colors, but: 1) Is a bit bolder on the font (ideally without warping the font) 2) adds some texture/style to the cross and doorway so there isn't quite as much contrast in feel from the stylized font. 3) Uses a different font for the tagline, 4) puts the tagline on one line and cuts through the "g". The "g" could be "broken/split" for that.

With the font on these, I think we'd like to see it a bit bolder/thicker. I like the door concept as an idea, but I'm not sure about the overlap with the letter H.
I like how the direction feels fairly uniform, but I think we'll want to keep the cross pointing toward the right to maintain the relationship to the current logo.
Thanks, Daniel! Because the new logo from the contest is going to be the "fun", "energetic" version of our current logo (for T-shirts and teens), we're wanting to maintain some of the elements of the original as well. The second uploaded logo with black background is the general style we currently prefer. On that logo, however, we'd like someone who can add more boldness in the font, so it would be easily readable on a T-shirt. The font used for "idalgo" is dearJoe 1 M&S. All caps is an option for that part as well to increase readability. The font for the "H" is currently Dear Joe Four. Possibly increasing the boldness of both would help. We prefer the cross angled toward the right as in the original logo. While we are not set on it having to be the Dear Joe font family, so far, that has the feel we like the best. Also, we're taking into consideration a monochrome version since our T-shirt printing will use a single color. Thanks for the effort you put into this already! You've done some really nice work!
(By the way, this is my first time to use the contest, so I didn't realize about the commenting on individual logos. Sorry for the delay!)
I really like what you did with this one. If we didn't already have a logo that we were trying to maintain a relationship to, this would be a high contender for us!
I like the way you used the building and the cross on this one. Although it doesn't have quite the specific look we're searching for, it is well done and among the higher preferences!

Here is my design with the most subtle change in the text #134 #135.
Unfortunately I can not cut the letter "g" and put the slogan
because you are using another designer and is protecting the use of that item.
I hope consideration.
Remember, if you have any other requirement, please let me know.
Regards. Daniel.
