Good morning, SNgraphics. Thanks so much for participating and for all of these great designs. There is a lot to think about here.
#18 and #16 are my favorites. Clean, crisp, graphic, eye-catching. I really like the simplicity of them.
#18 -- favorite type font. I like the lighter weight and uniqueness of it. Love the overall concept. The tilt of the type is interesting. Have mixed feelings about the woman in the dress...will have to mull that over. (See my notes below.)
#16 -- the arch/road is intriguing and eye-catching...also a new concept that hasn't been explored yet. I like that. Again, just not sure about the figure. I like the STYLE of the figure, just not the pose or dress. Looks as if she is dancing...would prefer a "stronger" pose, if that helps.
#20 and #17 do the best job capturing the "spirit" in terms of the pose of the woman.
#19 feels too much like a cheerleader. #15 too much like a hitchhiker. #14 too young.
I very much like what you are doing and appreciate the variety of approaches you presented. Thanks!
I like the simplicity and spirit of #26. (Please leave #21 in, too. I haven't ruled out that partial circle completely...but I'm leaning toward the simpler designs.)
I'm also still very intrigued with #16 and wonder if you would mind playing with a variation: ...arch/road and head from #16 ...body from #23 ...and try moving the type below the graphic, on a straight line ...no circle
This wasn’t what I originally envisioned, but it has a very nice, soft feel and wouldn’t mind exploring these or similar colors. http://tinyurl.com/7d6semk
Consulted with my assistant tonight, and we're in agreement:
#36 We like the background. We like the body size/breaking through the boundaries of the rounded box. We like the head/hair. Much prefer the body on #27...can you try that or something similar? The font is okay...goes well with graphic.
#16 We like the white background. We like the road. We like the head. We prefer body style #27. Would like to see the type below the graphic (no box or circle around them). This feels very clean, crisp and bold. Would work especially well in 1-color on a book spine (without the text).
Even though #57 is in the top five, I'd really like to see a variation on #58, which is still very much of interest to us. Solid vs gradient color. Foreground figure a different color from the background. Thanks! I really appreciate your effort on this project.
In working with my focus group, everyone is drawn to the overall concept and color background of #57. However, there is mixed reaction to the figure itself--comments range from "reminds me of FTD florist" to "looks like an athlete or warrior." I've had several who really like the "spirit" of the figure in #26...although she should not look too young or too athletic. And some simply love the graphic simplicity and boldness of #124. In other words, I believe we have a strong concept, but not quite the right figure. Any thoughts?
I just wanted to thank you for all of your submissions for this project. By far, you had the most number of top-ranked logos from the beginning of the tournament forward. In the end, another logo best met our needs, but I truly appreciate your efforts, your willingness to work with me and respond to direction, and general enthusiasm. It's clear why you a one of the top ranked designers.
