Hi iRobin,

You have some nice work here.

I like your Entry #63 the best, but it needs to have more red in it and less orange.
Want to avoid transitioning into 'pink' too much though.

It reminds me of the Gem TV logo, as I had supplied in the sample, which is my favourite example.
- Just less orange please.

Thanks
James

Hi Jamwest,

Thanks for the ranking.
I'm trying a few different variants on the theme... Let me know what tweaks you'd like to see.
Keen to get this exactly how you want it. :)

Cheers,
iRobin.

Some more finer detail inside the lettering as per the Gem logo.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers,
iRobin.

These look pretty similar, but there's some small detail changes in the patterns.

iRobin,

Could you possibly also use a lighter font weight for the hanging bracket (under the hello).
Say, copy from #14.

I really, really like your effects, but the only reason I'm currently putting Hitman with #98 in front is because his logo feels a bit 'lighter' overall. Not necessary lighter in colour, just not a heavy as yours.

Is it possible for your to apply your effects to a slightly lighter version of the Helvetice neu font for the word hello. See Hitmans #98 is one font weight lighter I think. This is ok to do.

Only if you have time.

Much appreciated.

PS: Where is oz are you located ?

Hi Jamwest,

Was out for a while... just got home (in SA where are you?)

Thanks for the feedback, will make the changes now. Shouldn't take too long.

...and yes, the file is completely vector. I use mutliple layers to get the more complex effects. The file is made in CMYK so that it will be good for hi-res print, but I'm pretty sure LT allows RGB versions to be supplied so you have them for web use too.

Cheers,
Robin.

There you go... it's lightened up, I think the drop shadow was muddying it a little and was closing up the gap in the 'll". What' d'you think?

This one has some subtle lo-lights on the inside of the curves to give it more shape.

#146 took the slight off white background out... that may make it look a little crisper now.

iRobin,

I really really like yours as well. Its pretty much 50 / 50 between you and Hitman.

I have just one question...
- There appears to be a bit of a rough edge or something, down the left hand side of the 'h', about two thirds of the way down. Can you see what I mean.
Maybe, it's some kind of optical effect happening.

Does the shadow or effect run over the edge of the 'h' where I am describing ?

Thanks
James

Hi iRobin,

I have decided to award to Hitman for #127.

However, I would also like to buy your logo as well, being: #146.
I do want you to make some very minor changes to #146 though.
- I'd like you to more acurately match the brightness of the red in Hitman's logo #127, as I want to use both.
Does not need to be an exact pixel colour match, just tonally, make it a bit brighter. We can work that out later.
- In fact, once i receive Hitman's file, I can send it to you so you can pick the same red from the file (if that would be a help).

So, would you be happy to supply final art to me for the same prize amount ($300 Aussie dollars via PayPal) ?
I shall award to Hitman though. Hitman will loose 15% to LT.

I can contact LogoTournm't Admin and find out what the correct procedure is, otherwise we can deal direct ?
- Let me know how you want to play it.
