What We Do
• To set up an “interfaith” charity hosting events and activities for children from different faiths
• Foster positive relationships and friendships between children of different faith and belief systems.
• Promote religious harmony, equality and diversity.
• Engaging young people in interfaith activity is an important way of fighting prejudice, before it’s begun.
• Reducing discrimination and promote religious diversity in society.
• Enabling children of one faith to understand the religious beliefs of others.
• Improve understanding and empathy between children of each others' faiths.
• Enhance the understanding of Shared Values between children of different faiths.
• Raise awareness and celebrate the differences in our faiths - remove the misconceptions between different faiths.
• Our target audience are children in Year 5 and 6.
• We will promote our project in the South Manchester region, including Hale, Bowdon, Cheadle, Prestbury and Macclesfield.
• We will host sports, cultural, and arts and crafts activities throughout the academic year.
• These events will be hosted both in places of worship and in supportive members homes in our community.
