Discussion

Good shot. would be interesting to see an alternative a bit more "old school" and perhaps also an alternative with just 1 or 2 colours.

Thank you for the feedback - can you expand on old school a little - do you mean the typeface? - or something else ?. Thanks again, Julian at Husk Design.

Hi julian. Your effort is much appreciated.
i would much like too see your take on a tree on a hill done like it was for a 'old english or scottish' company. I am looking for a feel like the mullberry logo. Having said that i might in the end go for a more modern look like your first heatherhill design.

hi julian, I think the one i ranked nr. 1 represents the best version of this design.
I do like the design (as well as nr. 2) my initial worry is that it (nr. 1) is too detailed for print, your comments are most welcome.

hi

I understand your concerns about the small detail, but I don't foresee any problems ... as its a vector file, the details scales very well large or small, no pixels to create jagged edges .... everything clean and crisp. i printed one out myself this morning on a medium quality laser printer and the detail reproduces perfectly.

Assuming you are using a professional printer, there should be no issues. I would post a link to to a photo of what I printed, but I am not permitted to do so by the site, you'll have to take my word for it :)

One solid colour would help with printing too - a solid pantone would be a nicer print than a standard cmyk -and its usually cheaper too.
