thanks for the submissions. In the comments, I had just put no more leaves, but yours is different. It feels more like stalks of grain, which, for a church called Heartland in the middle of farmland, isn't a bad image. Not sure if you were going for that, but it works.
I haven't gotten feedback from my team that's helping decide this. But knowing them, they'll want to see more of a modern variation on 'heartland.' We're still deciding whether we want something more classic or modern. Working with a committee is tough in a process like this. Appreciate your flexibility.
Thank you very much for the feedback. Stalks of grain is indeed what I was going for. I had started with a more contemporary drawing of grain, but I changed it to the stylized version for a more modern feel and to give it some movement. I thought I would do some color or font variations as options for you, but I'll also see what I can come up with in regards to a different idea as well.
Tim, We really like the grain. Can we see some other variations of font (maybe some sans serif and different uses of lowercase.) Don't worry about color at this point. We're nailing down our colors for the outside of the building. Once we know, we'll pass those on.
This group is a few variations with square corners, less rounded corners and different shading. I 'll be submitting variations using different fonts shortly. It's no trouble at all if you would like to see a certain font with a certain design.
#83 - is #35 with square corners
#84 - the same but with different shading in the blue
#85 - this is #35 with different shading in the blue
#86 - this one has less rounded corners than #35, and different shading
#87 - this one has a blue border for another look as well
They're subtle differences that do change the look as some options.
and.. #88 is one with less rounded corners and the darker shading. Please don't hesitate to remove any to "clean up". I'm happy to show the subtle changes to narrow things down.
Tim, the jury is still out on colors. There's nothing we want to change about your logo. We'll be working with the other designers in the top 5 to make some tweaks. Then it'll be about the selection team coming to a consensus on which one. Anytime you have a committee in a church deciding, it could be rough. I'm just glad we have the 7 day deadline.
Thanks again for all the variations you gave us to look through.
Thank you for the update, and I appreciate being in the top 5. I know exactly what you mean about a committee at church deciding :-) I'll keep an eye on things and if at any point you want to see different colors, I'm happy to do those variations.
