Hello,

This is my first entry in your contest.

Thank you for your consideration,
Tim

Very nice! I really like the sphere with the binary numbers. I'd be interested to see a variant with a "cut" or "unraveling" effect. Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you very much for the ranking on #22.
In this variation on it, I added some more detail and made the outer sphere more transparent which gives it a cleaner look, as another option.

Thank you,
Tim

Hello,

As another option, this one adds some shading to "Haynes" and the bar to add some depth.

Take care,
Tim

Hello,

This is the first idea for the ball unwrapping. I have a couple others as well that I'll post soon.
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you meant by cut, but if you could explain I would love to try that as well.

Thanks again,
Tim

Hello,

While the last two had the surface unraveling off of another sphere, this one has just one layer unraveling.

Please let me know if these weren't what you had in mind, and I'll be happy to make the changes.

Take care,
Tim

#31 and #30 are great! I really like the color gradient in the company name in #31. I think the unwrapping looks great, as well. A couple of requests: I'd like to see some examples with a darker red; closer to maroon. Could you make the sphere in #30 dark gray and perhaps a variation with darker binary numbers? Concerning my request for a "cut" look, I was thinking something along the lines of how the AT&T logo. I don't like to reference existing logos, but that's all I can think of. Hope this helps. I appreciate your openness to my ideas and thanks for your hard work!

Hello,

Thank you, again, for the feedback.
This one is #31 with maroon tones replacing the red throughout and a darker color on the binary.
I'm working on the others as well and will submit those shortly.

Thank you,
Tim

Hello,

As another option, I took #31 and made some of the colors closer to burgundy. I also added more contrast between colors.
I added some shading to the binary code so it looks darker on the lower half of the sphere which makes it look even more three dimensional.
If you like this color look over the others, I can certainly change any of the others to it as well.

Thank you,
Tim

Hello,
Just another idea I had that I wanted to show you.
This one has the inside of the sphere and the binary code as gray metal.

Thank you,

Hello,

Thank you very much for the ranking.
This is another option #31 where I kept the outside the same and just made the inside of the sphere the same metal gray as #45.

Thank you,
Tim

This one is #46 with the binary a touch darker.
If you would like to see any other variation, please don't hesitate to let me know.

This one is my idea for the cut you had mentioned before.

Wow, you read my mind, #57 and #58 are great! I was just thinking about concentric rings earlier.

Logo Designer
That's great, I'm glad you like them and I'm glad I pulled those off the page of the sketchpad.
I have a couple other ideas that I'll submit as well just as some other options.
As always, if you would like to see any changes please let me know.

Take care,
Tim

Very nice work! The curved concentric circles are great. I'm short on time now but will post detailed comments tonight.

This is getting tough, but that's a good thing. I REALLY like the rings in #57 and #58 and the curved rings in #70 and #71. I've run the "unwrapped" versions by several people they didn't test well, so I don't think I'll be going with one. I would like to see some variations of the curved rings, however. May I see the color of 'technologies' and the vertical line match the gray on the inside of the sphere, please? I'm not sure if it would be overkill on the gray, but I wonder how the numbers would look matched as well. Finally, I'd be interested to see at least one with a reflection instead of a shadow and one with the shadow dropped a little to give it a 'levitating' effect. Thanks for all of your hard work and quick responses to my requests!

Hello,

Thank you very much for the feedback. It's no trouble at all doing any of those variations.
I'm traveling today and will get to work on those as soon as I get back this evening.

Thank you,

Hello,

As you requested yesterday, the following entries are variations using gray for "technologies" and the bar, a floating look by moving the drop shadow down and reflections.

The first is #71 with gray "technologies" and a gray bar.

Thank you,
Tim

#78 is almost perfect. Would you mind changing the binary to gray (like #82) and toning down the reflection on the sphere and/or moving it towards the top of the sphere? Thanks!

Logo Designer
Hello,

It's no trouble at all. I'll do a couple of variations on it using the gray from #82 and toning down the reflection.
This is the first one, with the reflection less bright.

Thank you,
Tim

Hello,

This was a different idea I had on the drawing board that I just wanted to add to the contest.
Just another option as I didn't want to leave any ideas I had.

Grr, I don't know how I didn't notice this and I hope it's not too late, but although the design of #87 is perfect, I was looking for the brighter red as in #78. If you can just take the design of #87 and make the color match #78, it'll be perfect.

Logo Designer
No trouble at all. I re-submitted the files with the reds from #78.
