#3 - Love this! Obviously you took the time to look at my etsy site as this appears to be a piece of my work! :-)
Could you make the feather a tad bit smaller, and use the font from #4? I like the feather off to the side in entry #3, but I am a little more drawn to the font in entry #4. Also, if you could try a silhoutte of a hawk in the background with a nest in the lower right corner, would love to see how that would come together. Also, one more thing, could we add "Handmade Jewelry" under the Hawks' Nest Traders name? Love the logo so far! Thank you!

#9 and #8 are per your requests....

I will check back tomorrow but may not be able to before the mid to late afternoon CST but I will be looking forward to your response and add more possibilities.

Thank you!

#8 is awesome! Love the silhouette of the hawk. Don't want to lose the feather though, maybe we can place a smaller version of the feather at an angle near the lower left corner of the logo...not sure how it would look but I love that feather! :-) Great work!

One more "after-thought" if you will, could we put the earring hook at the top of the piece so that it shows that it is actually a piece of jewelry? And maybe try the hawk silhouette on just a branch, no nest. Thanks!

I appeciate this!!

I will work on these for you....just so you know if after I try this and it becomes too visually busy......because I did try this and it seemed that way to me so I removed it...but to keep them separate you may purchase any additional entries at the end of your contest which can be discussed at that time.

Thank you
Tere

Also, I hope it didn't create a delay in entries since I did an illustration right at the beginning for you...I just really like this type of work!...the prize amounts for illustrations are usually more and I believe most designers are looking at this if they illustrate this way.... just want you to be aware of this if for some reason you don't reach the entry numbers you are wanting. Time will tell...
You may add any general notes to all the designers on your contest wall...and any individual comments for each designer by clicking on those designs...I guess you already know that...

I will try and upload these sometime this evening for you..I appreciate it that you really like these.Thank you!

#18 #19 #20 are with the alterations.
Actually I like the way the feather hangs on the silhouette of the branch.

Tere' I love these new illustrations! #20 & #18 are my absolute favorites! I love how the earring looks dangling from the branch! Suggestion, or maybe more of a question, what if we change the "handmade jewelry" to the same font as the "Hawks' Nest Traders", will that be too much? Not sure so I need your opinion on this, from a designer's point of view. Also, wonder if we could "clean up" the branch a little. Around where the hawk sits, the leaves that are dangling down, maybe clean them out. I always see hawks' sitting in old dead trees, no leaves. Not sure how that will look, but if we could try?

Thank you for your candid advice. I didn't really come in with any set expectation for how many entries I would get so I am not disappointed at all and don't forsee that I will be. How can I be with such choices as I am being given? :-) You do great work, thank you for your dedication to this. Can't wait to see how things look!

Thank you!!
As far as the different font on Handmade Jewelry...I think it's needed to offset them visually....they both would be lost with the same font together...IMO...

I will work on cleaning out the nest to leave just branches and get that to you.

I went ahead and did your subline in the same font for you to see...it's fine since it's smaller.

I also added all caps as an option and bolded the font just a little more.
Hope that is okay.

Let's have a little fun, let's try a little more elegant font, and bring just a little more red into the brown. If you look at the color of a red-tail hawk it's more of a reddish brown. Just curious how it would look if we change it up a little bit. I love the design, so I guess I'm just looking for that "hawk" color? Does that make sense? Thanks!

#47 #49 Here are a couple of script fonts which are elegant but not too ornate and to be sure that it is still has a style that will compliment your products and your website and be legible.

The original handdrawn style script has an organic feel which really compliments the natural aspects of your style. IMO.

There are so many fonts that would be considered elegant it is really hard to choose...but hope these help you see a couple of other possibilities.

I pulled down the % on the silhouette on the hawk as well as added the the color with more tones that are in your earrings from your website.

Thank you

Once again I love what you have done. I really like the hawk a little more "silhoutted" as in #47, and the feather from #49, can we put these two together? Then I just have to decide on the font. I have an existing card that the font is done in "wood art", so the letters look like they are made from sticks. Gives just a little more "earthy" feel to it. I like the fonts you have used, just can't seem to decide which one I like best :-)

You do beautiful work! Thank you for meeting my requests so openly!

The question always to ask in any logo as an identity mark...is the visual information absorbed and recognizable in a moments notice? More detail or busier detail doesn't always hold the long term retention and the immediate identification if not legible or too much information interferes with immediate and long term association.

I will do this for you and I appreciate your input and compliments!

You nailed it! I want to say thank you for all the information you have given me along with the designs. This has been a completely new experience for me, and I am glad that I was able to have a designer who was willing to walk me through this process. You have been fantastic! Thank you!
