What We Do
Improvement districts offer counties a means for improving their infrastructure to promote economic growth in an area.
The creation of an improvement district is necessary to promote, encourage, and maintain employment, commerce, transportation, housing, tourism, recreation, the arts, entertainment, economic development, safety and the public welfare in the district. An Improvement District will:
Promote health, safety and general welfare of residents, employers, visitors and consumers
Provide funding to preserve, maintain and enhance economic vitality within the District
Promote the health, safety, welfare and enjoyment of the public by providing pedestrian ways and by landscaping and developing certain areas in the District, which are necessary for the restoration, preservation, and enhancement of scenic beauty
Provide for water, wastewater, drainage, road and recreational facilities for the District
