Color Preferences
Open to colour choice. But I would like to see a narrow range used. Preferably two or three at a maximum. One is fine. Remember, this logo's primary function is to act as a shop sign and an internet banner) for website. However, it must also be appropriate for use on a letterhead, invoice, email, poster etc. It must be easily usable and recognizable.
Importantly, colours used must be transplantable to form corporate colours. ie they will be used for other applications.

VIBRANT BUT NOT JUVENILE.
GOOD COMBINATIONS MIGHT BE:

BLACK AND WHITE
BLACK AND ORANGE
SILVER

Just some suggestions...
Our Ideas & Additional Information
See attached file for ideas. I like the idea of using a retro font. Perhaps like the lambretta font (60s chic) or perhaps a more traditional Art Deco font like Tw Cen MT. See tab 19 in the attached micorsoft publisher file. These were my own ideas but I'm not happy with any of them - need some professional assistance! Tab 9 is good but possibly, possibly, too modern for older musicians. I don't know. Tab 19 is also good but possibly, possibly, too old fashioned for younger musicians.

REMEBER - THIS LOGO NEEDS TO BE:
CLEAN, CLEAR AND CRISP!

MODERN BUT NOT IN ANY WAY JUVENILE.

Discussion

Hi All,

thanks for quick action. Here's my feedback:

#1: Too simple. Neither classy nor modern. Good try though.
#2: I like this. Perhaps a little difficult to recognise as a brand. Can we go for more eyecatching?
#3: This could work.
#4: Same as above.
#5: Not appropriate for this business. Would alienate classical musicians. Good for someone though.

NB: CAN WE TRY SOMETHING LIKE WHAT I SUGGESTED IN MY ATTACHMENT? I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING RETRO BUT COOL. ART DECO FONT OR PERHAPS A LAMBRETTA FONT. TRY Tw Cen MT AS A FONT LIKE IN TAB 19 OF MY ATTACHMENT.

I can't get the attachment to open.....

Hi,

Has anyone else had problems opening the file? I've now attached two PDFs. Either of these will be a GREAT starting place for competitors.

Feel free to embellish but simplicity is key.

Let me know if you have any problems opening these attachments.

Thanks folks

Good to hear!

I like a lot of the work that is coming through here! Those at the top of the pile have done very well in capturing the idea of a cool but also classy institution.

Here's some fresh inspiration: I like solid colour backgrounds. Let's branch out a bit and try some other colours. Again, I'd like to keep the colour range down to a minimum - maybe two or three different colours.

Try incorporating both the 'Art Deco' Font and the 'Lambretta' font.

OR...Show me something completely different...??? Picture??? Remember - CLASSY!

Good Luck!

Hi Everyone,

we're getting some great stuff coming through now. I'm really pleased with the quaity and I'm finding it hard to rank them! The top row is especially good.

Now I think most people are on my 'wavelength,' let's see what else we can come up with.

COOL BUT CLASSY!

Thanks

Hi All,

just a brief note...I'm getting a lot of black background designs. I like them but they are very hard to use in websites and especially on shop signs. If you would like to use solid colour backgrounds, try using other colours as well as black.

Many thanks
