Hi goldendog,
Congratulation for the winner ;)
really it was hard to create this original smily dog face....sure you can got it... the payment for the winner is 660$....what a suitable price can you offer for second place? do you have a specified price in mind?
While we ultimately went with a different approach, we loved this illustration of the dog. Would you be willing to sell this illustration to us separately? I can definitely see some places where we would love to use it separate from the logo. Let me know if that would be possible, and what price you think would be fair.
Thank you again for participating in the contest, you were definitely a close second.
Hi Salameh, We love how happy your illustration is - and our love for your illustration of the dog almost put this in first place, but we currently prefer the total approach of the one we've ranked first. Please stay close to the contest as we may shuffle if we don't get the design to where we want to... Doug
No worries. Not another logo. Just letting you know how it was going to be used. And a brand that is similar in approach. Life is good is a brand. But their merchandise also often/usually has other messages, so the logo is secondary.
We've been using happiness is golden as the tagline for our Golden Dog Farm endeavor. But we found people wanted to buy stuff that just had the Happiness is Golden line on it by itself. So we decided we would create a separate identity for the brand. This is going to go on t-shirts, hats, mugs etc. - often paired with other illustrations, sayings, etc. where this won't be primary (but to start, where it is the primary communication - think of the Life is Good brand as an example). Please give this a look in that light and let me know if you have any thoughts or areas to explore that would move the idea forward.
Also would like to see any thoughts you might have on the incorporation of color to this idea.
Love it as it stands. Wouldn't add additional elements (like the paw prints) to make it more busy. Takes away from the simplicity and personality of the original.
Definitely like this illustration better. And the new one without paws too. And in all caps. I'll move those to ranked, not sure yet which is my favorite.
Hi. I think my feedback on 91 was not very clear. That said, I do like the new thicker type treatment on the word golden. And I think I might like it more in all capitals - though need to redo with Golden spelled right. :-) What my original comment on 91 was meant to be, was the illustration of the dog is a little breed generic - and are there things you could do to make it feel more like a golden retriever specifically. Thank you!
Put the b/w version in my rankings - as mentioned - really like this type treatment and use of the dog in the logo. Would be interested in seeing the mark with some different color choices.
Like the energy of the type. Feels happy. Very nice. And also like the dog in the "o". Any chance you would be willing to work on the pup image a bit? Would love for it to read as a golden a little quicker. Thank you!
Hi! Thanks so much for contributing ideas to our contest. Love the energy of your ideas here (#42-45). And definitely appreciate you showing it b/w as well. Very helpful. My one thought as feedback is that it doesn't necessarily read as so quickly as a golden retriever in this particular pose.

salameh
you mean.. that you need another logo with same illustration for (the Life is good)? with same dog? do I understand you in a good way?

Glad to have you as one of our finalists.
