Thank you for your feedback. I'm not sure if the wheel or pan fit the current design so I will put hold on it unless I have some idea how to implement it.
Hi there & thank you for the updated version. I submitted the various logo submissions to our committee yesterday and your design was approved as one of the final 3 that they will choose from. Yay - it was one of my favorites also! :-)
Since we will be using this for everything going forward, including screen printing, embroidery, and pins/medallions, the committee asked for the following:
1) Make "Hangtown" a little bigger and "Kennel Club" a little smaller so the name is more balanced. Also, can you use a more "western" font as they felt the two "n" letters looked more "spooky" than "western" - haha
2) There is already a kennel club that uses a covered wagon as their logo, so we need to have that (and the hanging lantern) removed altogether. :-( Suggestions for alternate images included a small-ish bell tower so it looks like it's in the background, a gold pan with two pick axes crossed behind it, or maybe a wagon wheel. Or maybe you have some other "western" and "historic gold panning" ideas.
Can you tell me how many colors are involved in this logo? We were told by our embroidery company that the cost significantly increases when there are more than 8 colors and the least price is for those with 6 or less, so we're trying to keep future costs at a minimum as well.
I like where you're going with this. And you add some foliage/leaves to the tree so it doesn't look dead? haha Also, if you could some color so it's not all just "red" (maybe brown tree, hunter green leaves, brown carriage part of the wagon, (and maybe changing the text color to hunter green so that it better matches), etc.? Lastly, my apologies, the last line of text should be "of Placerville, CA, Inc." as that's our legal name. Thanks!
