on #1, I prefer not to use "HEC" and to have some form of emblem or icon that is rather symbolic - earth and atmosphere are the images that come to my mind... I like the curve of the earth idea but would prefer something with mostly blue and some green and lots of white space....

~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for the Designers' hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.
