This is an upward moving. from bottom to top, left to right side (like the most of reading direction). It represents progress, growth. The swooshes turn around the globe/ball/circle: It means maneuvering/moving with strategy.
I like it - i was thinking similar ideas and to me the globe represented customer centricity as the swoosh was sort of like strategy or programs eminating from and around the customer. Great!
Random thoughts. . .I like some of the dimensionality you are adding to sphere in #125. My favorite is still #104. Many of your designs seem aggressive - #123 -0 #125 almost look like visors on helmets - i am wondering if more approachable would be good - like your work with styletrending.com - or if it would ruin the look that is so great in #104.
Hi Tonie.A - Welcome to the round of 5! Great work! I like your #104 alot. Same comments from yesterday -
I would say i am also wondering about the following: 1. would "Growth Strategy" or some other multi-word approach be better than just "growth" early on there were some designs like this that i liked lliek #40, #46, and #70 - but the icons held them up. Would you consider variations on the word blocking - I still like the overall compactness and boldness of your current design and would not want to make logo too long. 2, Interested in comments from yesterday 3. interestd in increased 3D/dimensionality to icon.
Not much really to say - design is great - just areas of additional interst
These are great - I am almost sorry I asked as so many look good to me! looking at your logo in context of top 5 i like the sense of motion. Of the #104 family - which do you think is best interms of clarity against design goals just gut?
yes there is gradient on #104, but so little amount of gradient..
In my opinion for the #104 family: #104: The word "GROWTH" is the strongest emphasis. It gives easier recognition to customer because they don't need to remember too many words. But it is also less attention to the other words. But its okay, you have to take customers attention at first sight. when they're attracted already, they'll read the rest. It also applied on #185 because word "growth" in the different color than the rest.
for the others: they're have better balance in terms of design layout. But they're also a little lack to take customer's attention. and not as easy as #104.
Toni - thanks for the new concepts - some questions and thoughts -
what would you do on a dark background? Say iwth #104 pr #184 if you were on a black background how would you tweak? the fonts could be cut out and still show up but thw "Swish" around the globe is what I am wondering about.
Also - i think the contest winner delivers .eps files - i have not worked with these but assume they can be manipulated in photoshop cc? yes/no? also - they will have a transparent background correct?
BTW I was watching World Series baseball last night and noticed the shading and color of orange used for the score counter for SF Giants was very similar as your font in #219 - you are a trend setter!
You'll get EPS and JPEG by default from LogoTournament. But if you need other file format they will be sent via email by the winner. for me, I can provide you any image file types including psd (photoshop). and if you need the transparent version I'll send the PNG with transparent background on it, it easier to maintain. EPS can be edited using Vector software only like Adobe Illustrator, Corel draw, etc..
I did change the grey a bit lighter. it's alright, logo usually have 2 version: for dark and bright background. I'll send both version of course.
About score counter for SF Giants.. haha :D - no I am not a trend setter, just a coincident..
I like the simplicity and visual impact of the no-font shading and light sphere shading - yet The shaded seems to be a bit more interesting looking - I also think the more shading is coming "back" after a 2 year hiatus - looking at logos in a variety of situations now.
Toni - would you be ok with giving me, in addition to the standard file types and resolutions. Photoshop compatible high resolution layered files (i think .png)? I just want to be sure I can get great resolution transparent images when I need. I will need the winning design (color), the on black winner and anything else required. Are you OK with this>
Congrats! Your design is awesome and I appreciate your hanging with me through the many "can I see this,c an I see thats". I realized early that i was doing a bit too much on the tweaking front so backed off until round of 5. I encourage you to keep being flexible and responsive. Many were not.
I am really excited to finally have a professional, world-class logo design and cannot wait to put in on my documetns etc.!
Hi toni - winning design(s) are #229 and black background version #225 pls send jpg, eps and png versions. png should be layered and high res. I can receive up to 15 Megs at a time. so you may have to split up. need transparent backgrounds which i presume i can "save as" from png using photoshop.
Okay Sir, I'll send them right away. For your information. PNG is not layered, it is flat like JPG, but it can have transparencies. I'll send you photoshop (PSD) too anyway, it is layered. Yes, PNG can be edited and opened in Photoshop.
