WOW! That's really cool how you did the shadow and the mirrored effect.... I am just concerned with how it would render in some print formats. It's very beautiful, but I am not sure that's the style we're going for.
I really like the way you laid out the wordstamp, though. I have zero talent for typography, so I am baffled when people can do that. :)
Maybe try a revision without the shading and without a gradient on the icon?
(I also like the way you integrated the "T" into the "G")
My apologies; I needed to withdraw a number of entries due to the "GT" mark being too similar to a fellow designer's concept. I am therefore submitting this entry in it's place and I will try to see what else I can come up with for the GT mark. Again, my apologies for any/all inconvenience.
Alas! I liked your other designs. I suppose you had to withdraw them... but thanks for the heads up.
Was the concern that your G had the "T" embedded within it similar to nalapraja's? If so, that's unfortunate, because we really preferred your rendering.
I don't see that as being a proprietary approach. Is there anything that we can do?
If not -- if we did select one of your designs, could we then go back and edit it to look the way that you originally had it?
One of the attorneys said that she likes the icon on Entry #67 but prefers the wording on Entry #54 (by designer Nalapraja). Is there a way that you could adjust the wording a bit to look like that?
Thanks again for all of your time and hard work.... I am still intrigued by Entry #44, because I like the idea of showing the box around the G&T ... but also want a strong icon like the ones you have.
I wonder if there's a wonder to combine the two? Maybe have the "g & t" between the words Gregg & Turton be a more stylized version? And maybe also a line underneath the words similar to your other designs, and with "Attorneys at Law" stretched across the width of the design?
Thank you for your continued interest. Here is a version with the "G&T" more stylized than the previous version. Do you require the ampersand between the names?
We just presented our finalist to the attorneys, and they voted it down -- and asked me to contact you to let you know that they think that your concept for Entry #72 is now the best.
One question -- could we see a rendering where the icon is the same height as the wordstamp? Or do you think that it needs to be taller (as you currently have it)?
Thanks so much! I think the design is just right. Only thing now is finalizing the color of red... I think that the one you use is a little too brown. Is there a deep red that has a fairly common pantone?
That is perfect! I am sorry this is taking so long. Just to ensure that I know what happens next... if we select you as the winner, will we get the design file? I am sure this is not the case, but right now it looks like the icon is a little pixellated at the top (might just be how it is rendering on the site when it's reduced to a JPG).
Also -- will we be able to get a Black & White version? I am not sure I will have the software to make the conversion myself.
No problem; no need for apologies. :) . Yes, you would receive an .eps (fully scalable without loss of quality) file along with a .jpg. I will also provide you with a black and white version. You are correct about the the rendering here, but the source file will clean and smooth. Regards,
Oh, one more thing. What is the closest Pantone/CMYK configuration/whatever for the color that you used? We want to use it on our WEb site and other materials that we are using.
Also, what font do you think we can use that most closely resembles the one you used?
The red is PMS 1807 and the font is Trajan Pro. Trajan Pro does not have lowercase letters per se (just small caps), but I can recommend something like La Gioconda which does have a solution for lowercase letters.
