Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Nice start, thanks for the quick responses. Overall, we want to go with simplicity vs. complexity. No need to include the slogan as part of the logo, just keep it as simple as possible. Colors need to be bold. Keep it clean and simple.
Here's what we like so far: Bold, simple, graphic designs like #1, #9 and #12. Interesting use of script in #10.
Keep trying to do some interesting things wit the letters (e.g., the G and the D) Colors need to be solid and bold (e.g., logo can be seen easily eaily in black and white copies). Design needs to be FUN, contemporary and female (not girly).
Very nice additions to the contest. We reallly like the use of the letters and the emphasis on G and D. Entries # 23-24: nice designs, but please make it more feminine (looks like a car logo). Entries #27-30: very nice designs, please make them more fun, contemporary and female. Entry #18 is also very good. Nice use of the G and D, but needs more work to make it more clear. Note to all: be sure to include the TM trademark on all logo designs.
New ranking and comments. Thanks everyone but would love some pushing of the envelope. Here's some comments that may help. #1 (ranked) is very interesting -- like the humanistic aspect of design as part of letters. would love to see more play on ideas like this. Like the combination of types in #10 when the name is the logo. Like the tight design of 31 -- would love something that distinctive but not as industrial/male looking. Would love to see more color ideas in general.
some really nice additions and revisions. would love some more which used a human element like number 52 and really appreciated the outside the box design of 57. thanks again to everyone!
It has been wonderful to see the ideas and revisions. This is going to be a hard decision become the interpretation of Great Dames has been rich and varied. We're liking the very graphic approaches and also the more feminine places to go in both script and images. At this point, we really have no other input except things we are sharing with individuals. We are still unclear about color choices and have deeply appreciated those of you who have shared the logo also in a black and white form to help us.
