You made a great and valiant effort. Yours was my choice but I was in minority. God bless, inspire and keep you safe and well. Bill Wanamaker from the American Trucking Associations... Via con Dios. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #90 Thank You Bill, let me know and kudos to you too :) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #90 Hi Evo, I really like this one. If only me, this would be the winner! I'll have my group take a look. Many thanks and kudos, Bill 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #90 Hello Bill :) Here are 4 new submission, my last chance at the gold ;) I think :) I did: 1. one Grey 2. one White 3. one Darkey Grey 4. one I was thinking maybe just blue, so the truck is part of the background ( simpler ) If you have any other changes let me know...and Yes Bill it was a pleasure communicating with you regarding this design, and the feedback I got, thank you!. Maybe the Fat lady has not sung yet!! :) let me know! 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #77 Hey Bill, for sure I am not mad at you ;) just part of the game here on logo tournement. Hey thank you, I will get on the corrections you ask...and we see how the wheel turns :) il submit shortly...5 hours left I should get it doen before the contest finishes! 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #77 Dear Evo, I just convened a teleconference with my colleagues and they appear to all prefer the round image. Frankly, I liked yours best so I asked them what bothered them about #77. They did not like the yellow background! Hope you are not mad at me. But I recall them saying in the first meetings that the yellow really drew their eye to the logo, and one of them emphatically liked yours best. So to give them another shot at your logo, here is what I suggest: 1. Change the yellow background to gray. 2. Make another version by changing the yellow background to white. 3.In another version, Change the yellow background in any other way you like. For what it's worth, one person said that they thought that the round one would look better on a letterhead. I'm not sure when communication gets shut down, so let me say right here it's been a real pleasure working with you. You're a talented artist and I was surprised at this morning's outcome. You are a great combination of artist and communicator, and the latter is vital to making art a commercial success. Many thanks from your friend Bill Wanamaker from the semi-detached neighbor down under. I'm looking forward to seeing your changes per above. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #77 Yeah for sure, I am in Canada Ottawa, French-English Designer...I work in a agency her in Ottawa, I do this logo tournament in my spare time. 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #77 I live in New Bern, NC. I've got to know where you live...? if you are okay telling me. Just interested. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #77 Thank You :) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #77 This is outstanding! Thank you. Will be in communication with my colleagues in about an hour.. and I'll get back to you ASAP. I like the details of the front wheel too. Great job! 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #77 Here you go :) I do like the round corner. Here is why, I think it goes well with the Truck with his wheel sticking out..round tire..round corners...It balance both side out I believe! Let me know what your partner says! thank you :) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #76 Hi Evo. Nicely done! I think the light looks good and I'll run it past the Executive Committee I'm working with. I also think the stars look good, well done! Fonts are right where I think they look balanced The stripes look better. But I would like to see what 5 red stripes would look like (thinner ones). They just look a bit thick as is. Also, I think your "bumping" of the ends of the truck is just right. Well done. *** One more thing I'd like to see: Could you round off the bottom left corner of the overall image just a little bit (a tight radius). I may not like my own recommendation on this suggestion but I'd like to see what it looks like to round off the bottom left corner just a tiny bit. I'm anxious to see what my executives say about this much improved image! Very nice work. Bill 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #76 It does look better the flag with flush to the side!. I change the light infront, it looks ok right! and I added some beef to the Wheel, Let me know if I bump to first :) If not, I apreciate all your feedback to make it better! 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #74 Wow! This is really cool! I'm digg'n it! I think my top leaders may be very interested in this. You did a great job bumping both ends of the truck farther out of the larger image. Here is what I'd like to try that could help even more: 1. Front headlamp seems to be facing me directly, but in fact it should be focused in the direction the truck points. 2. Stars: Can we see what white stars look like? 3. Let's try wider red stripes on the flag. With a red stripe on both the top and bottom? (no white stripe on bottom. 3. The left front tire looks beefy and great! Can you add some beef to the right front tire? It looks too thin and it could use a "shoulder." This is important I think because it gives the truck a firm, solid presence that is reassuring to our government shipper customers. Nicely done! I don't know but this one may be putting you near or in first place! Good work. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #74 Just to answer on your other comments about the dome, I really like this version, It gives the impression that the truck is coming out...and plus it goes with the whole design. Let me know about this design, is this much much better. Let me know!...Does it show, as its the american congress dome? or maybe more detail on top, I see it has those Oval windows, and the statue on top...but maybe not too many details, as you want people to look at the name also and the american flag!...So to me when I see this logo, I see first 1. American Flag 2. Name GFC..... 3. then Truck and Dome.... What you think :) 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #74 Hello :) Would this be better, I did the same as the stars you sent me...it has that little 3d look ( maybe a little more color..quick question, when you see the proof, do you see it bigger. I am just curious. Next I will look at your other comments regarding the dome...see what I can come up with :) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #71 Please see this link to view the main body of the US Congress: https://www.google.com/search?q=pictures+of+the+us+congress&biw=1777&bih=847&tbm=isch&imgil=aQv1pOOi5iKYLM%253A%253BrT2-0EPMs1XidM%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.britannica.com%25252Ftopic%25252FCongress-of-the-United-States&source=iu&pf=m&fir=aQv1pOOi5iKYLM%253A%252CrT2-0EPMs1XidM%252C_&usg=__NCX-7hn3nmJymAV_ZVIix_nJW5c%3D&dpr=0.9&ved=0ahUKEwiwvdGzo-zOAhVFFh4KHdaRAYEQyjcINQ&ei=8SDHV_CAPMWseNajhogI#imgrc=clc83tS7eNnj6M%3A When I was thinking of a mostly different overall look of the logo, that is when I thought employing the main body of the Capitol building might provide a different shape that could could more easily accommodate the images we want: power unit (or tractor as we sometimes call it), trailer, flag, GFC and Government Freight Conference. Then maybe the dome could reflect more of the classic lines of the real Capitol Dome, or bear the GFC logo. What do you the expert think? 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #70 Nicely done! Well done on the fonts and re-sizing. 1. Stars are good size. Can you rearrange them into the 6-star configuration you see at this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six-star_rank 2. Can you use stars that have the same 3-d appearance as you see in the link above? 3. Safety is a very, very high value in trucking. I see the tires of the trailer are over the yellow line! Ha! Can you please adjust components to keep the truck in its lane? Safety first! 4. Can you bump the truck farther past the dome? Can you see the first place competitor? Their truck is bumped beyond the circle at both ends. We found that to be appealing. I'll go to your other logos for comment next. Nice work! Bill 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #68 Hello :) Thank you, I have submitted different version of the dome, and also with the stars being bigger. Let me know your thoughts! I started with the one you see the Name in full in the bottom...but I was saying I think I am complicated it, but maybe you would like it. So I made the other after, I think just a image of the dome on top would be ok, plus it has the impression the truck is coming out of the dome! again thank you for the compliment. 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #68 Outstanding! The dome sits on a rectangle and I'm not sure whether the rectangle would add more interest to your image. But it could provide more space for, example: "Government Freight Conference." Thank you for your patience as our vision grows right along side of your inspiring work. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #68 Thank you, I am working on the dome right now, just the outline DOME we see what I can do :) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #69 Whether in this logo or the next one that I hope has the US Congressional building as the outline figure (dome or dome+), how about bumping both ends of the truck beyond the dome our outline? Doing that is what I think put the leading image at the head. 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #68 I think you are gaining ground on the first place contender. After you submit a logo with overall shape of the US Congress dome, I'll get my managers together to look at them. I think the US Congressional dome, and possibly larger building under it, will grab a new element of keen interest. Very nice work! 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #61 Also thinking fewer but larger stars (5-point stars) could look nice in the blue field of the flag. 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #61 Looking forward to your new vision! 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #61 Hello :) Hey thank you for your feedback I will submit a version with all your details you put forth. I have submited a version, before I saw your comments. but will submit another one with those corrections ! thank you and STAY TUNED...... :) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #61 Dear Evo Tie: This is much better. Nice work on the truck. Here is what I'm hearing about this logo: 1. It draws one's eye more than any other log, but having trouble pushing up from 2nd to 1st ranking. 2. Make Government Freight Conference a heavier font thickness. If you have to reduce the thickness (boldness?) of "GFC" to do that, no problem. GFC could be a little thinner. 3. Put the red background behind "Freight" and 4. Put blue background behind "Conference." 5. Thought for your consideration: Make the highway black and put yellow striped line on it, in the same yellow/orange of the truck background. 6. Suggestion for your consideration: Google the Capitol dome of Washington, DC, i.e. the U.S. Congress. Us the shape of the dome of the Capitol image on a separate version of this logo. You are a strong 2nd! Great work and best communication of all artists. Latter has served you very well. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #29 Oh wow thats a nice truck....I have submited another version, but before seeing your comment, I will do another one with your exemple you provided! see how it comes out...but this new one I have made the tires more realistic, and I cut it down on a blue toned truck...les toy...maybe this would work...and I highlight the word conference...would that be ok...maybe we can put the year in their somehow....what you think!...thank you for the exemple!... 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #29 Here is a good link to a modern truck: http://www.peterbilt.com/products/on-highway/579/ 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #29 Hello :) I can for sure do the changes to the tires. And I agree. Is it in the details you mean realistic, more details. If you can, would it be possible to pick one of these Trucks, the ones you think are more realistic for you, would this help. https://www.google.ca/search?q=Class+8+truck&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwilrYOFiurOAhWqDsAKHfApBOMQ_AUICCgB&biw=1451&bih=718#q=Class+8+truck&tbm=isch&tbs=isz:lt,islt:xga What you think would this help for you! but I will do the changes to the Tires for you for sure :) as I agree with that! thank you for the feedback and being in your finalist stage :) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #29 To put another way, this looks like a toy and we want something more realistic. 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #29 Much better. Can you make the tires black, and the wheels look like chrome (not gray)? Tires look too thin, like vanilla wafer cookies, need more like a thick Oreo cookie and black with chrome wheels. 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #18 May have to wait until you can see the other submissions then. Thank you for the good communications. Bill 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #18 Unfortunately during the blind phase..we cannot see the other designs. Is it a font that is like Serif or non serif... 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #18 Can you see all the other logos in competition? I like the font on the one that has an eagle. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #18 Hey bill, Oh its ok...I get it, the blue part of the USA Flag with the White stars!...No probleme! I will try a more realistic Truck with more details...see how it goes...:) hey thanks for the feedback! 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #18 I just googled Union Jack and the meaning has changed since I was young. I do not mean the British flag; I do mean the blue field with white stars that is part of the US flag. so the lol is on me. Bill (the old guy) 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #18 By union jack I mean the blue rectangle (field) with white stars that is part of the US flag. I apologize because union jack also means other images. Thank you for your clarification. Bill 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #18 Oh ok, thank you so much, You would like a more realistic look, I can do that for sure. I will resubmit later today! with your correction...first I have to google union jack..lolll...but thank god for google :) If you like would you have a google image of a truck you like..and I can use that concept in my design...what you think!..thank you! 8 years ago Bill Wanamaker commented on #18 This logo drew most attention. Nice job. But vital to make the truck a more modern and realistic image, i.e. less impressionistic. Also, perhaps face truck to left vs. right so union jack is near the power unit (cab). Would like to know what it would look like if the flag were more realistic, i.e. even width of stripes, stars more prominent in the union jack. 8 years ago EVO TIE commented on #18 Hello :) May I ask would you like and outline of this design, to simplify it...is this something you looking for. let me know. Thank you! 8 years ago
