What We Do
This is a certification for recognising that an event (e.g. festival, conference, exhibition, concert, marathon, car race, horse race, food & wine fair etc), has met certain requirements to ensure their event is 'green' - environmentally and socially responsible.
Industry
Events
Color Preferences
Does not have to be green, but that makes sense. However we would like to see logos that use green in a clever way, rather than obvious big blocks of text all green.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
This is a blank slate. We believe that having typical 'green' images such as trees are not appropriate. We are looking for something that will cut across all event types - imagine you were a conference or a music festival, but want to be recognised as a GOOD GREEN EVENT - we need an emblem (certification mark/seal) that will work on ALL types of events.

We also want to put the word 'RACE' or 'FESTIVAL' or 'CONFERENCE' or 'EXHIBITION' under or included within the logo. So that if the event was one of these, that sub sector is recognised.

Discussion

The emblem/logo should have somewhere to place the YEAR in.

Essential elements are:

GOOD GREEN EVENT
Year (able to be changed)
Event Type (exhibition | concert | festival | sports | conference) - we will have about 10 different sectors. When you do your first design - do it with the word 'conference'. But when doing your designs check whether changing this word to some of the other event types works.

We are ALSO considering having THREE LEVELS - maybe a gold, silver and bronze level. But not necessarily those names/colours - three levels. So please add a comment to your submission on any ideas you have around that - how three levels could be applied to your logo - maybe stars, or ticks or other graphic elements which demonstrate a progression through the three levels.

Thanks!

Hi,

We are loving the entries so far. We wanted to make sure however, that everyone didn't do a circle-based seal. We do love them all, but are also interested in seeing block style or a combo of a circle with block text underneath.

Thanks for your entries so far everyone.

We love the cartoon style (I am sure there is a more correct graphic design word...) of MailChimp and Exam Professor. They are very modern in terms of website looks and have a bit of a macintosh design aesthetic to them which we love.

It needs to look fresh and have a social networking vibe to it.

We will be creating a website around it and so the icon/seal/logo/certification you create will need to be the driving force behind the fresh look the website will have.

Have a look at http://www.examprofessor.com/ and http://mailchimp.com/

Thanks
