Godfather FilmsLogo Design Contest

I instantly liked the look of #2. I think the gold on black is good and I also like the use of the filmstrip. I didn't realize that a gun was being used until I read the comments. They call me "The Godfather of Video" in the industry because I am one of the pioneers of event video, I personally do not fit the gangster image but prefer the role of the adult male who looks after your child when you are not around. That doesn't change the fact that everybody who hears our new name instantly thanks of the Godfather movie image. The benefit for me is that everybody remembers our name. I am pretty sure that I don't want an image of a gun in the final logo. Perhaps another tool used by film makers might work.

#7 Is he carrying a film case? When I saw red, I thought it might be chocolate for Valentines. My web site will probably have a black background so I am leaning to designs that will work on black. Font in black might be a challenge.

#14 caught my eye because I saw it as an animated opening for our movies. I envision light passing behind the logo and rays of light shining through the Godfather letters while the filmstrip loops to the left. I like this website and the process. I already have some cool images to chose from and can't wait to see what else is submitted.

I uploaded our current logo so you can see where we are coming from. I am happy with the font and black background but want to change the partial filmstrip design. I feel our name is memorable but our logo is not.

Check description from 2 boxes above. My favorite logo so far is gone because the designer apparently got in trouble. Maybe somebody can recreate #14?

It seems that I am definitely liking those with gold and black the best. My choice is being influenced by the way I see the logo being animated for the opening of my movies. If any of you thoughts for animating your logo, please share them. I am very impressed with the amount of talent all gathered at one web site. Thank you all for giving me great choices.

I'm liking where the newer designs are going. I like #55 on the top but feel the text on #36 is very eye catching.

I am traveling and the computer at the hotel I am staying won't display the images properly and they are too hard to evaluate on my iphone. I've extended the contest so I can get back home and review. I really like the talent I am seeing. Thanks.

Dear CH,
When the contest is in judging if you want to ask for changes for any designer you need to put that designer ranked first.... just the first ranked designer can send new versions of the logo.... you can switch anytime between designers and ask for the changes
