I really like yours - especially 29 but the feedback I'm getting is that it looks like its for kids - and needs to be more masculine - I love the mosaic but I wonder if you took off the smiles and eyes if it would do it - I love the net
OK tried to stick with the mosaic fish - but simplified, New font, and just FYI showed my wife, we are both semi- Catholic and she liked that the OUTREACH is smaller, Other Catholic friends liked these last 2 concepts better as well. Also showed them the other ideas and the comment was made, (keep in mind these were southern Catholics), that the mosaic fish represented them better and the more well known Jesus fish made it too Bible belt evangelical. Does that make sense? Thanks for the opportunity in this contest. Mike M
Great ponits - I love your thinking - Personally I like your the best! Youmade a great point about southern Catholics - that's probably why I liked the mosaic best too. Here's a couple of last minute comments - 1) looks like they are swimming out of the net 2) I like the way #29 has a circle around it containing the image - kind of like a fish bowl 3) I like the teal better on #29 - if we get to add a second color it would be a deep purple because we talk about having three levels of events - blue - purple and red 4) I like outreach to be smaller too and maybe even eliminated on some of our stuff 5) On the font - Our mission...and outreach -can it be a little cleaner but still italicized 6) on Go FISH font - I like #29 better but it stands out more in #37 can you make it stand out more in 29? and the H a pinch bigger to balance out the G?
OK - hope I got everything as you want it - also most designers (i know I do) are usually very happy to tweak stuff after the LT process and breaking up the parts of a logo is very easy to do. In other words after the contest is over the winning designer usually will help out with other formats and such, I'm always happy to send other formats, over and above the EPS and large JPEG that LT requires. just FYI.
