I think I like the brighter brain. I'm having my UI designer look in to get her recommendations.

The idea was to add some shadowing in the flat places at the outer edges of the spiral.

It's all fine. As I stated earlier, for me the brain shape needs some refinements. There were comments, that are exactly along with my view. I was reducing the division, still trying to keep the shape recognizable. Overall proportions were altered to fit the spiral, but it wasn't the best idea... I'll send the new versions shortly.

Looking at these drawings I believe a black line down the center would do the trick for both backgrounds.

Ya know the brains halfs aren't totally separate. The corpus callosum connects the two halfs in the middle half of the brain. You are absolutely right. I am having a hard time seeing the brain without the line as well. Please try to make your brains a tad skinnier and the line between the halfs skinner too.

I prefer this split brain over the singular brain. The split is much more subtle in the dark background. Maybe we should only have a very thin line in the white background or for both backgrounds. I'm wondering if you needed a wider brain for the spiral to come out right.

I agree. I think your brain mask it is too wide. Note how others are narrower. Let's try narrower brains.

I would also rotate it 90 degrees to make it closer to a left and right hemisphere.

Can you use a top-down view of the brain as a mask for your two logos? Please use a lightweight skinny modern font.
