And I appreciate that! These are great! Would it be possible to add some kind of softness to #33? I LOVE the use of the scissors for the A! I'm also impressed with #31! Could something in the g/d symbol represent hair? Not to intrude on your creativity, but what would happen if the right side of the 'd' left the silhouette of a bobbed hairstyle or … something?
49 and 50 don't grip me in the same way, perhaps a lack of relevance? (Though I'd LOVE the nest in other areas of my life!)
What I like about #48 is the way you've put SALON on top. Has nice balance. Wouldn't likely opt for the red lips, but, again, I like the way you're trying to reflect a hairstyle in this. Keep going with that! Something about the "R" in 52, but otherwise I like how delicate it is. Is there a way to make the scissors more delicate as well?
While I LOVED your use of scissors in my logo, my patent attorney is advising against it because it'd be hard to defend if someone else tried to do a knock off given that it's such fair game in our industry. *sigh* #31 has great potential for its simplicity. With that information, did you have any other ideas? I wish I knew what to tell you to inspire you because you obviously have great potential!
Good morning to ya! Will try to see some other concepts. Thank you for your kind words and feedback. The top 5 phase is soon here and if you have me in the top 5 i can try some new concepts.
To me, #31 is your strongest and easiest for me to defend. Would love to see you move away from this original image and perhaps think in UPPERCASE now.
Was there anything you were already working on? What do you think?
How could I ever decide? I like that #169 is a very memorable image, and strong. The image in #167 appeals to me, but... I just can't put my finger on it... I think it's the font for the name. Thinking thinner/caps. But I'm certainly no expert.
Hopefully my last request: Using #175, could we see the symbol with some kind of backdrop, be it a solid circle, a few paint brush strokes (*favored), a haze of some sort, etc.
Reason being, if we eventually drop the name to utilize the symbol, it'd be nice if it had more… surface.
Again, it's just to provide a little surface, tiny backdrop, tad bit of contrast, etc for the more exciting thing - your symbol - that will extend beyond the two or three lazy strokes.
Thanks for humoring me yet again. That touch of blush is really pretty, huh? At this point, I've just got to make a list of objective criteria to compare these to and be sure our logo is hitting as many as possible. Will keep you informed!
I'm not sure that I completely understand these final days of judging. Am I permitted to request any last adjustments?
I'm back and forth between a horizontal logo like #170 (I just prefer the #183 font and color differences) and what I already like in 1st and 2nd place.
#184 might be passing #183 because it's a touch more refined.
If it's not breaking any rules, could you make a horizontal layout of #183 and #184 with and without the circles?
Or is this something I'll have to tinker with myself since we're in the judging phase?
I haven't felt this nervous for commitment since my wedding day!
